Mom says there is a song that goes something like that, and apparently she even know who sang it (about a million years ago, I might add). I blame Mom's knowledge of such hokey things on Granny and Grandpa.
Mom also sings old country and western songs in the car. I mean, she's got Tammy Wynette on her iPod. The shame of it. At least she doesn't have the windows rolled down All The Way when she's doing this. However, it explains why Abby and I don't hang our heads out the windows like normal dogs; we're hiding our heads in shame. Porter Wagner? Really? Oy. Johnny Cash is fine (although Mom singing Johnny Cash, is, well, less fine...). Even the first two Hank Williams are fine. But there are some things on her iPod that are downright frightening. Like the guy who looks like Merle Haggard? And it's even more frightening when Mom knows ALL the words. I swear, Granny and Grandpa have some explaining to do. And probably some therapy bills to pay...But I digress. Mom's grass hasn't really, ah, taken root yet. There are some green things poking up here and there, but I think they are weeds. However, Mom says "anything green is good" so we'll humor her. But since she's still holding out hope for her little grass seeds, all of our zooming must be done at the park.
So, we went to the little park at the bottom of our neighborhood today. We got haircuts yesterday (Mom said we were looking wooly, and since we've finally got warm weather - today was in the mid 70s), so we had to show them off, first.

As you can see, we're not totally nekkid, but we're all sleek and plushy-like. And we've still got floofy tails (well, we still don't measure on the Sibe Scale of Floofiness (SSF), but we don't have rat tails).

Okay, enough with the posing. Throw the ball!!! Dad had a minor surgery on his shoulder on Friday, and isn't supposed to throw tennis balls, and Mom, well, Mom throws like a girl, so Mom got a ChuckIt, so Dad could chuck the tennis balls without tearing out his stitches. Which is good, I suppose. We just wanted the tennis balls flying!

Oh yeah!!! Serious tennis ball action!

Zoom-zoom!

Heehee. She's going in about 5 different directions at once!
But it was perfect weather, and perfect tennis ball chasing conditions - the grass wasn't too wet, or too dry, and the ball just sailed through the air. Good times!

Yep. We're happy dogs. Even if Mom has a frightening taste in music!
