Almost 4 Months with the Bandersnatch and New Snow

It has been almost 4 months since Daisy the Bandersnatch entered our lives, and Mom, in her "must photograph every single second of the wee beastie's life" mindset, has made a point of getting a photo of Daisy each month, where you can see her grow.  Apparently I am the yardstick against which Daisy is measured!

The wee beastie at 8 weeks.

Around 11 weeks (not quite 3 months), for Grandpa's birthday, which gave Mom the idea of using the couch as the 'standard' background.

Fourth months old, and freshly laundered.

Today; Daisy isn't quite 5 months old, but she's ginormous!
Mom and Dad (and, honestly, include me in this) can't believe how TEENY she was.  And now she's getting BIG.  At least I still have the psychological advantage over the wee Bandersnatch. (For now...)

Now, on to more exciting stuff - we got a TON of new snow this weekend, and I got to spend a lot of time wrestling the wee Bandersnatch into the snow!

Don't worry - I'm very gentle with the wee Bandersnatch - she's just hamming it up for the camera!

Don't worry about little Miss Bandersnatch.  She gives as good as she gets - so I'm really trying to work on that psychological advantage while I can!

It was REALLY cold this morning - that haze is from our breath!

I've also had some funballs frisbee time! (Daisy still hasn't quite *got* the frisbee concept - she'd rather chase me than the frisbee! For now, at least!)

And at the end of the day, we ARE sisters! (Yes, I'm getting a little more used to the Bandersnatch.)

Have a great week, and happy holidays!

There's No Bitey-Face like Snow Bitey-Face

I am a big fan of bitey-face.  Of course, when Abby and I were mature adults (okay, when I was a mature adult and Abby was distracted by frisbees) we didn't bitey each other as much because we had better things to do, but the love of bitey-face is something that no one ever loses.

And Daisy has forced me allowed me to re-visit my bitey-face skills. I think it is safe to say that I've got experience (and the laws of physics) on my side...

I will smite thee, wee Bandersnatch! (Or, maybe just pounce on you...)

Heehee! She needs a 'this side up' label on her!

And she fears my Jaws of Doom!

Although Daisy may possibly not be as intimidated as I'd like her to be. In fact, the wee Bandersnatch has some serious moxie...

She's also got TERRIFYING teethies!

But, she is sort of fun to play with, as long as I can stay away from those teeth!

Seriously, those TEETH!

I've got to use the size advantage of it while I've got it!

BITEY-FACE!!!

Did I mention those TEETH?!?
But she's got the snow zoomie thing down, so she's sort of fun!

And here are a couple of portraits of us - rare when Little Miss Bandersnatch is always trying to bitey me!

Have a great week!

No More Ms. Nice Gal!

Note: no puppies, or Bandersnatches were hurt in the making of this post!

Now don't get me wrong; Daisy is growing on me like a mold.  I mean, she's starting to look a bit more like a real dog

(well, okay, she still looks like a doofus, but her leggies are getting longer and her snooter is getting a bit longer), and she's sometimes okay to nap with.

And I think I have been a Very Patient older sister, allowing myself to have my leggies and ears and other extraneous body parts chewed upon.  However, at some point, a gal has got to draw the line (sort of like what Mr. Mason and Mr. Dixon did all those years ago!).

And really, should I put up with this sort of behavior?

Here's a close-up, so you can see that the Bandersnatch has got a Very Firm Grip on my tail!
And the wee wretch gets in my face - no respect for her elders!

So really, what else is a girl supposed to do?

Well, bark back for starters....

Take that, you fiend!

That got her running!
Run, wee Bandersnatch!
Of course, a little barking doesn't do much more than slow the wee beastie down. So sometimes I have take a little more drastic measures.

Heehee!
And don't worry; no harm was done to the wee Bandersnatch - in fact, I think we have finally reached a point where we can begin to engage in some serious bitey-face action.  So maybe Miss Daisy is becoming a real dog after all! Although I still have longer leggies - for now, at least!

Have a great week!
