Abby Is (Gonna Be) Famous!!!!

OMD, OMD, OMD!!!

So, you know how Mom ordered a name tag for Abby, from Fetching Tags ?

*cough*

Heehee!

Mom is a big fan of Fetching Tags. You may recall, I have my own tag:

(If you don't want to biggify it, it says 'Dogzilla'...)

And TaiChi even had her own tag. The Queen of the Universe was (and always will be) the 'Dust Bunny'

Needless to say, Mom is a BIG FAN of Fetching Tags. And, I must say, I'm quite taken with them, myself.

Anyhoo, Mom got an email today saying that Abby's "Hippo-bottomus" tag was picked as one of their top 'tag lines' for the month. And now, of course, there is a contest for the top tag line of the month, with the winner being picked by popular vote.

So.... You know the drill, please go over to Fetching Tags, and on the right-hand side of the page you can vote on the best tag lines for the month. So, pretty please, go vote for my sister the Hippo-Bottomus. Because while she may be a big lunker of a Hippo-Bottomus, she is still my sister, (and yes, I love her, despite everything I say about her) and I'd really love to see her win!

What does she win? I dunno. Fame, glory and bragging rights, I think. And really, what is better than that?

So please go vote for the Hippo-Bottomus! And you can only vote once, so you don't have to worry about attempting to ballot-stuff!

And speaking of the Hippobottomus, here is an Extremely Rare picture of a Flying Hippobottomus. (Forgive the photo quality - Mom is throwing the ball, and then attempting to quickly snap a picture, and if you know Mom, walking and chewing gum at the same time is a bit of a challenge for her, so throwing a ball and taking a picture taxes her coordination.... Just kidding, Mom!!!)

Sure, I get way better amplitude (dude...), but the fact that Abby can actually jump off the ground at all just amazes me! Me? I fly.

But I'm not a Hippo-Bottomus...

And speaking of the Hippo-Bottomus, here are a few pictures from a true failure of a photoshoot...

Okay, so this tag does make my butt look big. What's your point?!?

Hmm. Clearly being a world-famous celebrity is a bit tiring for the large-bottomed one... And this last picture? I have No Idea how she got her face to look like this. Thank heavens it didn't freeze that way! Heehee!

Anyway, so please vote on the right hand side of the page (if you can... I know a couple of people have had some troubles actually being able to vote... I would suggest trying again later...) Anyway, thanks!!! And go check out their cool tags - some of their 'standards' are pretty cool, you know, if you're not a Hippo-bottomus! Thank you!

It's Official

Yep. Abby is now officially The Hippobottomus. See?!?

When it says so on a name tag, you know that it's true! All I can say is that I hope that Abby, the Mutant Alien Pod Puppy (henceforth to be known simply as the Hippobottomus), will stop growing. I mean, she's got to stop growing at some point.

Doesn't she?!? Please tell me that she will stop growing at some point. Please!

At least I'm still The Boss.

Neener, neener.

Although, if the truth be told (and why not, since it is the truth, after all), she's getting a little tougher to take down.

I especially like this picture! I am SO the Queen!

Heehee!

Don't worry. No puppies, or Hippobottomuses (Hippobottomi?) were hurt in the making of this post.

BTW, apparently Hippobottomi can run quickly when need be...

Heehee. (Again)

But lest you think that the Hippobottomus is a poor, defenseless creature who only gets beat on by her older and wiser sister, let me assure you that she can sucker Mom with innocent looks with the best of them. Hey. We both learned from The Master!

That look has earned that girl more treats than I can count!

Rumblin' with the Hippobottomus

First of all, I am not ashamed of being called "Puddin' Head". It's not like I'm being called "Abacus" or something... ;-)

You may (or may not) have noticed that the alien mutant pod puppy monster my dear, sweet sister and I have not had any WDWC (World Dog Wrestling Championship) match-ups as of late. This is totally Mom's fault. Up until a couple of days ago it has been blistering hot (we're in the mountains; 90 degrees is searing), and as a result, so says Mom the backyard has been really dusty, and because certain dogs who shall remain nameless *cough*Abby*cough* end up rolling around in the dirt, Mom has been complaining about the amount of dust that we bring in after my little sister gets schooled a friendly bout of bitey-face in the back yard. *sheesh* So we get a little dusty. What's the problem?

Anyhoo, Mom nixed outdoor bitey face. I told her that I have the ASPCA's number on speed-dial, and that I'm not afraid to use it; Mom had the nerve to tell me that she didn't think my call would be 'high priority'. Whatever...

However, it was rainy and cold and icky and damp a couple of days ago, and Mom decreed that it was okay for us to go back to our bitey-facing. It's about time, lady. Thanks, Mom!

Let the games begin!

Let's just say that the youngster may be a hippobottomus, but she's no match for me!

On land, at least... I'll give her the water...

But hippobottomuses are NOT land animals...

I am a gazelle.

Whereas the Hippobottomus, is, well, not so much...

Oh, and here's a symptom of Puppy Brain Syndrome; the little mutant spent about 20 minutes trying to decide which of the two balls she should pick up... Will she ever grow up?!? *sheesh*

A Rose By Any Other Name...?

Okay. So we've established that my mutant puppy sister is really an alien pod puppy. We'll just leave it at that for a while. She is what she is, and if, some night, she sucks out our brains in the middle of the night, you'll know what happened. I'm just saying....

So on to other things. Ignore that sucking sound... I haven't really talked about it much, but Mom and Dad tend to call both of us by names other than our given names. For example, I don't think I've actually been called 'Fiona' in ages; Mom and Dad always call me 'Fi'. Or 'Fi-bert'. Or 'Bert'. Or 'Fi-sters'. And 'Fi-sters-beasters'. Even 'Fi-Bertonius'. Don't ask me. Mom is weird. I'm also called 'Puddin'head' (apparently too much reading of Mark Twain goes on in this house), 'The Daughter Head' (in tribute to TaiChi - I have assumed the mantle of daughter-headedness), and 'Fi-Brain'.

And all of this is fine with me. As for Abby? She's called all sorts of things, many of which I can even repeat here. She's called 'Scrabby', or 'Scrabs'. Or 'Scrabacus' (like Spartacus - once she's called Scrabacus, then there are usually repetitions of "No, I'm Scrabacus, no I'm Scrabacus"). Sometimes even 'Scrab-apple'. Or 'Bed Hog'. She's also 'Muffinhead'. Certainly 'Monster Tuchus' and 'Lard Tuchus' are thrown about. But the latest is probably the funniest. Mom and Dad have been calling her 'Hippo-bottomus' because she's, well, she's big-boned ah, plump, erm, full-figured.

Hippo-bottomus. HAHAHA!

*ahem*

But here's a visual for you. See my petite rumpus and her, ah, more ample rumpus? Hippo-bottumus indeed!

Heehee.

Um. So. Yeah. We had a great time at The Little Park today (it was super windy, and so we didn't make it to the Park With The Pond).

On a final, kind of unrelated note, Mom is wondering about this freak of nature she saw today. She knows all about Cerebus, the multi-headed dog, but is a little uncertain what sort of beast has one head and two bodies....

I think that monster looks an awful lot like a......

(you guessed it..!)

A HIPPO-BOTTOMUS!!!!!

Heehee. (Sorry. I couldn't resist. Heehee.)
