Happy Birthday to Goose!

We want to wish our buddy Goose a very happy 15th birthday!  Fifteen!!!!  And yet he doesn't look a day over ten!  (Go visit our buddy Goose and give him some birthday love - go on, we'll wait!)    If you don't know Goose, you should spend some time perusing his bloggie; not only is Goose a wise, handsome guy, but he and his Mom have a lot of funballs times together.

However, we have to confess that Goose's birthday is even extra special for us, because yesterday our Mom got to meet Goose in the furs, and take some photos of him.  She has like 87 million photos of Goose, so it will take a while to get them all organized, but here are a few photos from her shoot with Goose and his Mom yesterday, celebrating Goose's birthday.  (He's been celebrating for the last couple of weeks, but can you blame him?)

Goose, a Momma's boy in the best possible way!
Mom, being Mom, brought The Dreaded Party Hats. (I have a feeling Goose wasn't given any advance warning about these party hats.... and seriously, what is it with our Mom and these silly hats?!?)
Of course, Goose is used to his Mom putting silly hats on his head, so the two of them have this routine down.

It's okay, Goose.  We both look silly.  And besides, I have a plan....

Mom, tell me more about this plan....

When Dr. Liz gets here for the group photo, well, you'll see.  But in the meantime, act natural.
Ah-ha!  Goose and his Mom managed something we have never been able to accomplish - they got our Mom to wear one of those dreaded party hats!  Goose, if we didn't already love and admire you, this would have totally sold us on your wonderfulness!

Good job, Goose!!!!
Goose and his Mom have a very special bond, and our Mom was really lucky to capture that special bond and make it tangible.

Have a great birthday, Goose!!!  And thanks for getting her to wear one of those silly hats!!!

Photos from the Blogville Valentine's Heart 2 Heart Dance!

Yes, yes, yes, the photographers' assistant was a bit slow in getting the photos from the Blogville Heart 2 Heart Dance printed.  As the photographers, we were totally on top of things, but Mom was a bit slow on getting the prints done for everyone.   So, without further adieu, here are the guests that were able to make it to our photo booth!

We also had these two handsome bachelors come by our booth.  How could these two possibly be bachelors?!?  Charley, Abby wants to know if you like long walks, kibble at midnight and tennis balls... If so, she says she's available!  (Although you should probably be warned, we have a reputation for taking gentlemen out on crazy dates...).

Thanks to everyone who stopped by our photo booth!

Finally! A Post!

Mom says that we are to blame for not having a post last week.  She alleges that we held her down and demanded scratchies.  Our attorneys have advised us to make no comment, so while we can neither confirm or deny the aforementioned allegations, we will admit that there is the slightest chance that her allegations are not completely outside the realm of possibility.

So, what have we been up to the last two weeks, you ask?  Well, while the rest of the country has been dealing with Snowmageddon, we have been enjoying warmer than usual temperatures.

Which means lots of walkies, and lots of frisbee action.

Incoming!

Hi Mom!

Very nice ear flappage here!
Because the weather has been so warm, our snow has been turning to slush, which means Mom can throw snowballs for us!

Snowballs are PAWSOME!

In addition to all of the stuff that we have been doing, Mom has started photographing dogs and cats at the Salt Lake County Animal Shelter who are looking for the fur-ever homes. If you want to see some of her photos from her first shoot, check out this post on her photography site.  Mom goes back this Thursday, too, so she'll have more adoptable pet photos.  Because she is trying to get glamour shots to help the adoptable pets find their new homes, we let her practice her glamour shot photography on us.  And while we get a little miffed when Mom spends times with other dogs and cats, we don't mind her spending time at the shelter - she is doing good stuff, and we're really happy that her flashy beast is pointed at someone else for a change is helping other pets find their perfect families!

I don't know about this one - I'm not sure I'd adopt Abby with a photo like this!  Of course, I didn't have much say in her the first time around!   Heehee.  Just kidding Fluffs - I love you!
Finally, Mom has been busy working on her photography business, with getting samples in order, and trying to work with local businesses and stuff.   If you haven't checked out Mom's photography website, go check it out:  http://lizdranowphotography.com  - she's got all sorts of pictures and even a blog post with tips on how to get your own stunning pet photos!

At the moment, Mom has her canvas samples scattered around the house as she tries to figure out the best way to transport them to show potential clients how much of an impact a 20x28 canvas of their beloved pet can be.  One of the samples has Abby on it, larger than life (don't worry, another sample has Abby and me on it, also larger than life).  Mom noticed this morning that Abby was in front of the canvas, doing her best to imitate the photographic art behind her!  Heehee!

And while I have a bunch more photos I could have Mom post, I'd really rather get belly scratchies. So just imagine a whole bunch more frisbee action photos here, while I roll over onto my back so Mom can best administer belly scratchies!

Have a great week!
