Remembering the "Some Who Gave All"

As on every Memorial Day, we remember the "some who gave all" to protect the freedoms of all, regardless of race, gender, or creed.

Call Security! Our Furs Have Been Stolen!

Mom says that Granny and Grandpa will appreciate the title of this post. As usual, we have No Idea what Mom is talking about.

However, I can assure you that the groomer stole our furs!!! We are totally nekkid!

And Daisy's snooter looks GINORMOUS!

My snooter is perfectly proportioned, on the other hand.
Crazy Cakes has become more frisky now that she is nekkid. If someone had asked MY opinion, I would have suggested they glue more fur onto her, because a more frisky Daisy is not really what I was hoping for...

She would look like a real dog, but for the crazy glint in her eyes...

I'm glad that my furs have been shorn, however - I feel more bouncy when I'm nekkid!

Of course, being nekkid hasn't improved Daisy's catching skills...

Yeah, she totally didn't catch that one!

Watch and learn, kid!

Mom also felt the need to take some portraits of us (because, of course, that is what Mom does for fun....)...

Daisy was helping Mom run down the battery for her portable strobe!
There will be more photos as we frolic in the Spring weather!

Have a great week!

SNOW!!!

It really is the middle of May, right? Well, we woke up to snow this morning. Yes, snow. And it snowed on and off most of the day. It is supposed to be nippy tomorrow morning, but then warm up by the weekend, so we are enjoying the snow while we've got it!  Mom is home helping Dad while he recovers from minor surgery on his knee, so she was able to enjoy the snow with us!

When Daisy wasn't trying to tackle me, she was zooming around with a frisbee. Not that she ever caught it, but she was zooming around...

I, however, was more than happy to pose for Mom.

See? It was snowing on and off all day today!

Don't ask me what Crazy Cake is doing here...
We did get in some bitey-face time.

I win!

She still leads with her teeth.

In the afternoon, Mom took some portraits of us.

Apparently Daisy has a ginormous snooter!

*giggle*snort*
Some of us also felt the need to roach in the snow...

And I continued to pose for snacks...

And Daisy continued to show off her ginormous snooter!

Have a great rest of the week!

Yet More Photos of Us

I know this comes as a complete shock to you, but Mom has taken Yet More Photos of us. Of course, we are both wildly photogenic, so you can't really blame Mom.  I mean, it would almost be a crime to NOT photograph us....

See what I mean?!?

Mom spent some time this weekend switching between her 'big' lens (the 70-200mm) and her wide angle lens (17-50mm), for very different effects.

Here I am at 70mm with the big lens...

And then here I am at 17mm!

My nose is really not this big!

Mom was on a 'big snooter' kick (the 17mm part of the lens distorts our snooters so they look abnormally large), so she took a lot of photos with the wide angle lens.

*derp*

"Why yes, I can model, if you provide the snacks...."
And then she decided that while these photos were fun, she needed to bring out her portable strobe to get 'real' photos (since Daisy's black furs tend to hide her eyeballs in shadows). I allowed Daisy to model while I observed from a distance!

This is Mom's favorite of the lot, since Daisy is actually looking at her!

Shifty-eyed puppy!
Of course, once Mom stopped all the posing silliness, I was game to chase some tennis balls. (And Daisy was all interested in chasing me... *sigh*)

Oy! This wee demon doggie is relentless!

However, I was able to show Daisy that I've Still Got It.

Don't even think about it, Little Black Dog!

I win!
But then there are times when I just let Daisy do her thing because, well, she's crazy!

Oh, and did I mention that Daisy is crazy?!?

Dorkadoodle!

Yeah, um. I don't even know what to say about this, as I think the photo says everything!
And while Daisy is crazy, I continue to remain serene!

Have a great week!

In Which Mom Takes Many Photos of Us

Mom has been having way too much fun with her new lens.  However, it does mean that we get a lot of snacks as payment for posing, so I guess it's not all bad!

But, I did have to sit next to the Crazy Bandersnatch, so I think I should get hazard pay - like 1.5 times the regular amount of turkey hotdogs!

At least I also got some alone time!

Mom, I'm about to bark at Daisy. Just thought I'd warn you!

And while Daisy is mostly crazy, Mom can sometimes get her to sit for a few seconds at a time!

Mom says this photo reminds her of her own belligerent teenage days...

Lookit those teeth!

Putting the 'dork' in Dorkadoodle!
Mom thought it would be fun to get some photos of Daisy by the few remaining daffodils (Mom is not exactly a Master Gardener... more like she has a Toxic Thumb...)
She looks like a Muppet. Which Muppet, you ask? ANIMAL!

But not to worry - we didn't spend all of our time posing.  There was plenty of tennis ball time!

Hi Mom. Are you going to throw that ball or what?!?

CRAZY dog!

We had some storms over the weekend, and Daisy was having a grand time with all the sticks and branches that got knocked down!

Yep, she roaches with sticks!

Post-roach "bed-head"!
Have a great week!
