In Which Our Mother Dresses Us Funny

Mom has been dressing us funny as of late.  She claims that it is for our own good, and while she might have a point, I still think she dresses us funny.

Take yesterday, for instance.  There was new snow on the ground, Mom had purchased some "weather pants" for us a while ago, and as you can see, we weren't wildly impressed with the test run in the backyard.

But with the snow on the ground, Mom thought it would be a great idea for us to wear the pants on yesterday so we wouldn't get ice or snowballs on our leggies or our undercarriages.  In all fairness, we didn't get ice or snowballs on our leggies (although some of us picked up some ice between our toes), and other than trying the full-body shake approach for removing the pants, they really didn't bother us. They are designed so we can do everything we need to do on the walks without being hindered, and we did look rather stunning.

Mom, there had better be good snacks if you are going to take photos of us in these things.

Today, Mom used another approach for dressing us funny. It was quite cold this morning when Mom took us out first thing this morning (-9F), so when it came time for our walkies, and the roads were still snow-packed, and it had warmed up to -3F, Mom decided that our trusty Musher's Secret probably wasn't going to be enough to keep us from trying to walk on 3 legs.  So, she broke out booties.  These booties were originally purchased for Fi and Abby, both of whom were decidedly not keen on the booties (remember, Mom did a mind-meld between Daisy and Abby, and Fi told me all of her secrets, so we had been fore-warned about the booties).  By the time Mom had gotten the booties on us, we were ready to go, and there was very little high-stepping, standing like a statue, or other displays of displeasure.  And while I wouldn't ever actually *tell* Mom this, the booties were pretty nifty. I could walk through the snow and not get snowballs between my toes, and amazing, we didn't get cold feeties!

Fine, Mom. We are wearing the boots. But could we get a move on, please?
Seriously, lady, snacks. It's cold out here!

So, while Mom dresses us funny, she might actually have her reasons...

When Mom isn't dressing us funny, she has decided that it is time for us to re-discover our inner supermodels.

We have the modeling thing down; Mom just needs to figure out how to work in the smaller space...

Daisy thinks she's auditioning for an SPCA ad...

And when we aren't being supermodels or dressing funny, we've been engaging in the time-honored tradition of snow zoomies!

And we did a little outdoor modeling, too.

Yep! I cast a large shadow! Heehee!

I think the UPS person is coming with bully sticks. I'll wait here.

And on that note, I think it's time for a well-deserved nap!

Snow Zoomies!

We are still around, but Mom has been "busy".  She keeps saying stuff about how the Great Kibble Provider is making her work for our kibble.  Whatever that means... But today was a snow day, and we got in some snow zoomies!

And we let Mom get a photo of each of us looking all serious-like.

Daisy with her eyes that glow like the fires of Hell!

And me giving Mom the stink-eye for not posting photos of us more regularly (you know, like once a month or so...)

Happy winter!

Time Flies!

*Sheesh* It's been MONTHS since Mom has been able to help me with a bloggie post (and with floofy feet, it's not exactly like I can type myself...).

Mom is giving excuses like work, and how she's experiencing every day as "Blurs-day" - as in the days all blur together.  Um, yeah.  Welcome to my life Mom.  I get up, I go outside, I sit on the stairs while you do yoga,

I eat, I wrestle with Daisy until we go on walkies,

I sleep in the hallway

until I move to the stairs...

Daisy snoozes in the office while you work, and makes sure your yoga mat doesn't go flying around the room.

Occasionally get up to bark at things, and when you are done with this work stuff, we go outside, Daisy and I bitey each other,

and then you putter around in the kitchen, eventually you feed us, Daisy and I do zoomies and bitey some more,

And then we go to bed, and get up and do it all over again. All of our days are the same.  So what?  How is "Blurs-day" a bad thing?

Okay, occasionally we have moose intervals...

And Dad plays his guitar...

And we pose for photos in the Fall colors while Dad models his bee-keeper suit

And we just pose for photos in general...

And some of us watch squirrels with great intensity...

So, I don't see why Mom thinks the days all blur together.  Maybe it's that work thing she does that makes it seem that way, because we're always having fun!

I don't know why Mom is always asking for Van Helsing's phone number....

Dinners!

Well, happy Blurs-day, or whatever day!  Mom may be busy, but at least she gets photos of us, even if she doesn't post them very often...!  Have a great day, week, month...  Heehee!
