Abducted by aliens?

Okay. I am not blind. I know that the mutant puppy is getting bigger. But there is No. Way. that this cute little fluffy puppy:

is the same dog with whom I (reluctantly) share my tennis balls:

Seriously. How could this, my (admittedly) cute little sister:

POSSIBLY be this:

I think aliens abducted my cute little puppy sister, and replaced her with this, this, Thing. I may have to ask Dennis to look into this for me, because my real sister isn't even 9 months old yet. There is no way that that thing in Dad's arms is my sister. I think she's a pod-doggie or something.

In the meantime, I will be forced to continue to play fetch with this alien abductee....

I'll be scanning the skies to see if the aliens will be bringing my REAL sister back...

More excitement!

Hi!!!

We've been having all sorts of excitement as of late. I think Mom and Dad have realized that if we aren't entertained, we'll make our own entertainment, which generally involves much bitey-face, barking, and attempts to steal dinner off their plates.

A couple of days ago, Mom and Dad took us to the park. Now some of you may remember that last summer I spent a lot of time at the park, chasing tennis balls. But this year, with the mutant puppy being a little, erm, untrustworthy off a leash, we hadn't really been doing the park thing, but had been doing the hiking/swimming/wading thing. However... Mom has been doing some work with Jessi (the woman who is teaching Mom to feed us turkey hotdogs) and Abby, and the mutant is getting better off leash. So.... Dad thought that it was time for us to go to the park.

Cool! The park!!!!

We're waiting...

And we're off!!!

I should mention that my mutant puppy sister isn't the best at sharing. She sort of thinks that what's hers is hers and what's mine is hers. Which makes the two of us playing fetch together a tad difficult. But Dad has a most excellent solution: two tennis balls! You probably have to biggify this picture to see both balls in the air at once, but it's true - Dad can throw two balls (with one hand) at once!
And this results in two happy doggies! (Rather than me getting miffed when Abby tries to steal my tennis ball and then me having to bite her ears off...)

Heehee!

Moving on.... This weekend, Mom and Dad had Yet Another Car Race, and because it was out at Miller Motorsports Park (kind of near the western desert), and it was going to be about 3 degrees hotter than the surface of the sun, Mom and Dad very kindly left us at home to be taken of by Jessi (the turkey hotdog lady). Jessi brought along one of her doggies, little Lulu, the Bug. Jessi didn't get a chance to get any pictures this time, but you can see Lulu here from one of her other visits. She's a feisty wee beast and keeps us on our toes!

There was a doggie out at the race, but she had her own House With Wheels, so she didn't get too hot. Her name is Remi, and she's a Whippet, I think.

Even I'll admit that she's cute!

Mom, Dad and Uncle Charlie drove the Old White Corvette, and Mom managed to not hit too many cones.

And despite it being about a zillion degrees out, Mom and Dad seemed to have a lot of fun. And since Abby and I didn't have to boil our brains out, we were happy, too!

And how better to express our joy than by some serious bitey-face?

I think the mutant puppy grew over the weekend (again). Seriously, she isn't even 8 months old yet, and she's a MONSTER. We haven't done the recount yet, but I have the haunting feeling that Abby is bigger than me, and probably is going to continue to grow uncontrollably. *sigh* But at least my butt isn't as big as hers...

From Blogger Pictures

Actually, it's not just her butt that's bigger than mine. Pretty much ALL of her is bigger than me... But hey, I've still got the psychological advantage. I think. I hope... If nothing else, I'm more nimble....

Wordless Wednesday: Bitey-Face Part #34,737

PeeEss: Gah! Did I just share credit for this bloggie with my evil twin/mutant puppy sister? Arrrrrrgh!

PeePeeEss: I'm the one in the light blue collar, while my evil sister's collar is dark blue/black (quite befitting an Evil Twin, eh?), just in case you can't tell us apart any more. In some of these pictures, even I'm having a hard time picking myself out....

Of Haircuts and Evil Twins and Things

*Warning* This post contains pictures of totally naked doggies. (And I can't wait to see what the google visitor stats do with that phrase!) For those of you who may be offended by naked dogs, consider yourself warned.

*ahem*

Mom decided that it was time to get our summer cuts. We have another weekend of human zoomies (autocross) in Wendover, and it is supposed to be in the 80s, and we were getting a little woolly, so Mom hauled us off to the groomers. We leave for Wendover tomorrow, and today was the first day since Abby got filleted spayed that she could have a bath, so today was groomer day.

Woo. Hoo.

Somehow, after the groomer, the Mutant Puppy Monster and I have ended up looking like twins. What is up with that?!?

Seriously. When did that happen?

Mom has decided that she can no longer control the evil Puppy Monster keep Abby at a low activity level, and so after the groomer, she let us go back to our regular friendly interaction.

Who's on top? I can't tell who I am in this picture....

Oh yeah. I'm the one on top with the leg in my mouth...

Who is this Mini-Me, and why is she attacking me? What has happened to the little thing Mom and Dad brought home?

This thing above is my sister. Not this thing:

Oh crap.

I've got an evil twin!

But, there is one thing about having an Evil Twin; she will go along with just about anything...

And I've got her trained to look innocent (as best she can, anyway) when needed....

Who, us? What did we do?!?

Heehee!

So yeah, we are pretty much 'naked' for summer. It's nice and comfy, and we are streamlined - which makes for most excellent zoomies!

And that's what it's all about, right?

Ho-Hum

Okay, well first, I should say that the Super Top Secret exciting stuff is probably only Super Exciting to some of us. It's not like we are getting a new little sister (although I wish we could get one who would chew on Abby's tail...)

This one is cute, but she's already taken! Which is probably a good thing, because I think Mom would take her in a heartbeat!

And Mom didn't indulge herself and go buy a new Mustang GT500 (as much as she may have wanted to)...

She's going to wait until she sells her first book, and then she'll go buy one!!! Of course, she has to finish writing said first book, first, but that's just a minor detail...Heehee!

But, the Super Top Secret excitement has to wait for another day.

In the meantime, if you recall, my Mutant Puppy sister got spayed last Monday (a week ago), so we haven't been able to engage in our backyard MMA adventures...

Actually, it was raining up until yesterday, so we engaged in a little surreptitious indoor wrestling. Surreptitious because Abby is supposed to be engaging in 'minimal activity' through this week. Uh-huh. She's a 6 month old Mutant Puppy. They don't make drugs strong enough to keep her down.

She is supposed to be doing this:

And instead, she's looking for ways to get into trouble...

I know she looks all innocent like (and yes, she's milking the 'oh-poor-me' look...), but trust me, she's anything but...

First, I would like to say that I am a Super Tolerant sister.

Seriously. If that isn't tolerance it's me a split-second away from biting her mutant head off I don't know what is.

Do you see what I put up with?!?

And my only retaliation is to post unflattering pictures of her on the internets. Heehee.

However, the last couple of days have been nice, and Mom and Dad are back to taking us on walks on the local 'multi-use' trails. Because while Abby is supposed to limit her activity, she is only supposed to limit activity that involved biting/jumping on/harassing her much wiser and more beautiful older sister. Apparently long walks are OK. And since the vet knows Abby, they are also strongly encouraged. Heh.

First, Dennis, we've been checking out real estate for you, since you are all ready to get your Dad to buy you a house that backs on to the trail. I think this one would suit you perfectly:

It's only about 30,000 square-feet, but it should be large enough for you to race around in, while still providing Trouble with living quarters that will meet her exacting standards. I think the place even has a special Cheese Storage Room. At least that's what I think it said on the description. I will get you the realtor's name/number if you'd like.

Here's the multi-use trail being used buy multitudes...

Brutus, I would like you to notice the blue skies in these photos. I know you aren't familiar with such things, so I thought you should be able to at least see pictures of non-rainy skies!

Anyway, at least the 4.5 mile walks each day help take the edge of Mutant Puppy's ridiculous amount of energy.

Is it me, or does my Mutant Puppy Sister have an unnaturally large tongue?
