Yes, We're Still Here

Mom has just been slacking. But now we have a Super Long Post to make up for lost time....

And finally, with a holiday weekend, Mom has been able to catch up a bit.  It is definitely summer here, and so I have spent my time going on early walkies and then resting inside while Dad attempts to wear out Crazy Daisy with additional walkies.  All I can say is that Daisy needs more wearing out...

Sometimes a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!

Seriously, Dad - wear this beast out! I can't even play tennis ball in peace!

In the shade, sometimes I am up for putting Little Miss Puppy Pants in her place...

Mmm! Tastes like chicken! Heehee!
It's enough to wear a girl out, but I do what I have to do to keep the wee beastie in line....

Speaking of the wee beastie, Mom finally took Daisy's 11 month photos....

Quite a difference from her 4 month photo! (Although I don't think my look of long-suffering patience has changed much!)

We have had a good holiday weekend, even if we DID have to pose for the whole 4th of July thing...

Yes, Daisy, your snooter DOES look big!

More normal looking snooters.  Well, at least one of us has a normal-looking snooter! Heehee!

Daisy is a doofus when it comes to sitting next to me, but apparently she can pose on her own when properly incentivized!

Me? I need no incentives! I am a supermodel!
Mom also attempted to take a few photos of the F-35s that were going to do a fly-over for the Park City Independence Day Parade.  Emphasis on 'attempt' - Mom readily admits that that were moving rather quickly and she didn't really know what she was doing....

I may have mentioned that it is definitely summer here.  I am not much of a swimmer, but Mom thought she might break out the wading pool to see if Daisy would be remotely interested. Apparently Mom has decided to keep Daisy as Daisy is a big fan of the wading pool.  (And it sounds like Mom and Dad are going to see if Daisy likes swimming in a real pool next weekend!)

It's a good thing she likes the water because she Still Can't Catch.  Oy....

*sigh*
I tell a lie. Daisy has caught a ball. Once. Heehee!

Daisy usually tries to catch me, rather than the tennis ball...

Seriously, kid. There is a ball right at your feet - why do you have to harass me?!?
She even waits when Mom is going to throw the ball for me...

She's behind me, isn't she?!? *sigh*
With all the stuff Daisy does in a day, you'd think she'd be worn out, but no.  She still finds time to do some land-sharking...

Those teeth are TERRIFYING!!!!
Or, you'd think she'd learn to catch instead of just using the ball as a clown nose...

And even after all of that, she finds the energy for lawn zoomies!

The youth of today - crazier than ever!  (And stay tuned to the next post for some exciting news.  And by 'exciting', I mean 'completely terrifying in how completely my parents have lost their minds'....)

At least one of us around here is still sane.
Even if I have to question Mom's sanity from time to time!
I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend (for those of you who had holiday weekends)!  Stay cool!

Oh my goodness - I don't know if it's the angle or what but Daisy looks bigger than you are, Fiona, and that can't happen! GREAT photos! We can't wait to hear your exciting news!

Tell you mom to just throw the ball in the pool and Daisy will swim to it! Our mom was going to do the F35's live on FB but didn't get out there until they were long gone. Fail!
