In Which Mom Has Too Much Time on Her Hands

Heehee!

Honestly, we have been quite spoiled with Mom on vacation for all this week, and it has been great having her around for our walkies, and snowy funballs times and everything.  However, when Mom has free time like this, she breaks out the camera on us, and takes LOTS of photos of us.  Me, I'm an old pro, and Mom is always calling me a supermodel.  Daisy, on the other hand, needs some training. But I'm trying to teach her. (But apparently Bandersnatches are unclear on the concept of modeling...)

Before we could truly be supermodels, Mom felt we needed to have our extra furs removed. Since Daisy is still learning how to be a real dog, Mom is having a professional groomer get Daisy used to the fur stealing process.  Because it has been AGES since I have had my golden locks tamed by a professional, Mom decided that it was time to see what I should really look like after a haircut, so Daisy and I went to the groomer together.  And while I look stunning, Daisy looks shockingly more like a real dog than ever before.

Of course, she still really looks like a goofy puppy!
After our haircuts, the first thing that MUST be done is to go out and bitey each other!

We're both much more aerodynamic with our shortened furs!
Of course, once our furs were trimmed, Mom decided that it was time to take photos.  WHY she felt the need to break out her new fisheye lens on my beautiful snooter is beyond me.  But, it seems to keep Mom amused, and I suppose since Mom does give good belly scratchies, that I can handled having photos of me with a giant snooter floating around the interwebs....

Thanks, Mom. I mean, really. Thanks. Now the world thinks I have a snooter that could have rivaled Karl Malden's.

The Bandersnatch's nose really looks like this - I promise! (Well, maybe this photo makes it look a little bigger than normal...)
At least we weren't the only victims of Mom's fisheye lens.  (Did I mention that Mom is easily amused?)

In addition to playing around with a new lens, Mom has decided that she wanted to continue to work on her 'black dog photo' skills.  Apparently photographing a black dog in bright snow is a challenge. Luckily Daisy spends a lot of time in the snow, so Mom has plenty of opportunities to practice.

Mom is giggling at Daisy's ear floofs - they have become quite pronounced after her latest haircut!

Lookit those ear floofs!

Crazy Black Dog and Beautiful Apricot Dog in bright snow!
Mom also wants to perfect her Black Dog on Black Background photos. Today was her first attempt, and Daisy still has a lot to learn about being a model.  However, since Mom seems determined to master this particular look, I think Daisy is going to have to learn how to be a better model.  I have been trying to teach her, but Daisy is a tough student!

The wee Bandersnatch has a lot to learn about being a supermodel, but she's getting there. And Mom says she's learned a bit about how she wants to light these photos, so I think there will be more modeling (and snacks) in our future!

Happy New Year!
