A door

I'm sure you've heard the famous Ogden Nash quote: "A door is what a dog is perpetually on the wrong side of."

Well, Abby IS that dog.

Seriously. When she's out she wants in, and when she's in she wants out.

Mom was all into the idea of a doggie door until somebody pointed out that the racoons would LOVE for us to have a doggie door. So, either Abby has to learn to open the door herself, or we have to hire a doorman.

Heehee.

And, Mom seriously hopes this will be the last bitey-face-in-new-snow photo for a few months. (This was taken on Friday...)

Seriously? The last snow of the season? I think Mom's being a little unreasonable. I mean, it's only the end of May...

Heehee.

Why, exactly, does your mom keep taking new pictures?
You obviously have only one season in Utah.......and it's spelled S N O W. We wouldn't know the difference if you were bitey facing in January snow or May snow! BOL

Abby! Abby!
That is so funny!
Maybe you can have the doggie door and then close it at night. The raccons love to come "home" only at night.
Happy Sunday!

Abby sounds a lot like Leroy! He can never makes up his mind! He has recently found out how to let him self in through the door, which I have yet to witness in person!

I can't believe you still have snow!! We don't here in good old Saskatchewan. :)

Love the bitey face photos, by the way!

I have a sign that says...
Plan for the day.
Let dog IN.
Let dog OUT.
Let dog IN.
Let dog OUT.

I think it is a PERFECT plan.

Louis is just the same Abby. Thing is when I want to go in or out I tap the door, or push it with my nose. He just stands there staring at it, I've shown him enough times what to do. Last week he was stood outside for ages in the dark staring at the door, everyone thought he was in!! Have a good week, Dex & Lou x

Don't worry, Abby, I'm pretty indecisive when it comes to such things as well. Should I go out? Nah, I think I'll stay in and relax. But, it's such a beautiful day and I should get some fresh air. On the other hand, I'm not really in the mood to dress-up... and back-and-forth it goes.

Hope summer arrives at your doorstep real soon!

My Uncle has a kitteh door at his estate and a bad raccoon came in and totally went mental fits all over their kitchen, so I think your mom is wise not to install the Abby door.

Um, I think there are doors that have "keys" for poochies. The key is worn on the collar and only opens for pooch wearing a key collar.
With six poodles we are thinking about a doggie door.

Hi there Abby & Fiona,

Well, that white stuff looks pretty funny and coold. I do not get that at my house - I just get the water that falls out of the sky aaaaalll the time. I sure hope that white stuff stops coming to your house soon.
