Mud Season

Hiya!

Like I mentioned in my last post, I won't be around Blogville as much as I have been; I'm not vanishing, but Mom is busy writing, Dad is busy with work (and has the sickies), we're starting to go on long walks again (something about the backyard being all muddy and not optimal for bitey-face... I don't understand that....), and Mom has been mopping up muddy footprints. Why is Mom looking at me like that? It's all Abby's fault.

*ahem*

Anyhoo, I'll try to catch up with everyone as best I can - if I haven't said hi in a while, it's not that I don't love you, but that Mom is being a computer hog!

Heehee.

*double ahem*

So, Spring may have finally arrived! Most of our snow has melted and while parts of the yard are a wee bit swampy, the fear of flooding (for us) is mostly gone, and now we have lots of glorious mud!

If you biggify, you can see the 'swampy' part of the yard. We have to dash through the swampy part to get from the snow to the dry part, and apparently that makes our feet muddy. Really?

Heehee. And look at Abby's feet - all the muddy footprints in the house are TOTALLY her fault. Besides, she's got Crazy Eyes, which makes her guilty of everything, right? Yeah, I thought so too.

Oh, and while Mom didn't get any pictures of it, there are rumors that Abby may or may not have been smacked down by someone (who may or may not have been me) this morning and got Super Muddy. (No pictures because Mom was too busy with towels, a brush, and muttering HBO words...)

Today, BTW, was a glorious day. It got up to 60 degrees, we had clear blue skies, a slight breeze, and Mom and Dad took us on two walks today!!! Seriously, does it get any better than that?!?

Definitely a reason to do zoomies!

And bitey-face in the mud is kinda fun (even if Mom grumbles about it...)
Seriously, Mom, what's the problem with a little mud?

And not to worry, we've still got enough snow on the hillside that we can get in some mushy snow zoomies!

Anyhoo, that's the update. We're doing well (other than Dad; the doctor thinks he might have giardia too, from cleaning up water from the flood - he's on meds now, but it took a while for him to see a doctor - when Abby and/or I are sick, Mom gets us to the vet the next day, but when Dad gets sick, he waits until he's CERTAIN he's sick.... silly human!). If Mom gets some spare time, she'll help me go visit everyone! In the meantime, Abby and I will enjoy the mud!

Goodbye, snow! And I have no idea why Abby looks smaller than me in this photo. She officially weighs 10lbs more than me. I think she's just slouching in this photo. Heehee.

Mud Season sounds like a lot of fun! Bella would love it for sure.

It is hard to believe some people still have snow and we've been in the 90's already this year!

We also have the 'muddy pawprints' floor decor, but mama has finally gotten old enough to rise above it. She says when she was younger, she just had to clean it up. Now, she just takes off her glasses.

Sure hope your dad gets better soon. Doesn't he know he has to take better care of himself, for your sakes? After all, you need him.

Enjoy all your adventures, and we'll see you when we see you.

Don't the humans know that mud season is just a chance to test the carpet cleaning equipment to see if it is in working order.

I've heard there are bipeds who pay big money to have other people put mud all over them at something called a 'spa'. Tell your mom to think of it that way! Ha roo roo roo!

Hey Sweeties! It's nice that you still have some snow.We do too in our mountains, but it's gone around the cabin now and we have to go up on Schweitzer to play in it. (Did we ever tell you that Mom, Dad and the hooman sister spent Christmas at Park City one year?!) Have a great weekend.

We totally support throwing siblings into the mud. A great way to stay entertained.

Live that mud to the fullest, that's what I say! Unfortunately, I hear it may be all gone soon--at least until the rains come back!!

Mud is good for your skin. It's a fact! Maybe rub some on your Mom's skin and let her see the benefits. Then, she'll be THANKING you! hehe It's SO weird to see you two playing without snow all over the place. Looks like you still know how to enjoy a good game of bitey face, though. LOVE the crazy eyes!
