I wish the camera really DID add 10 pounds

Some of my more astute followers of the 'round-the-clock bitey-face action that goes on in my house may have noticed that as of late there has been quite a bit more of this going on:

Where I am the doggie on THE BOTTOM. In the good old days, it was ALWAYS like this:

With Lard-Butt always on the ground begging for mercy.

Lard-Butt (and understand, new readers who have come here through the Blog Hop, that I have love in my heart when I call my dear little sister 'Lard-Butt') has also become Substantially Larger than me. Seriously. Look at this picture, taken today and undoctored. Even when I stand on a little hill, Lard Butt is Bigger Than Me.

Fr'instance, just look at her hind leggies compared to mine. I am all lithe and built for speed, while she's built like a cement truck.

Here's another angle. Look at that neck. I have a nice slim, poodle neck, and she's got the neck of a linebacker. (And she's taller than me. Not to mention wider.)

Do I look worried in that picture? You betcha. She's a MONSTER.

Yesterday, Mom and Dad decided to do a very unscientific weigh-in for the two of us. Keep in mind that Abby and I are biological sisters; exact same mother and father, we are just from different litters. Uncle Larry got on the scale and after we got his weight (don't worry, Larry, my lips are sealed! *grin*), he was handed me. I came in at a petite 50 lbs. Abby the Lard Butt was weighed twice (which, in hindsight, might not have been the best idea as Dad gave himself a hernia picking her up to hand to Uncle Larry...) and came in 65 lbs. HELLO?!? My sister is 15 pounds heavier than me?!? That's like a whole extra small dog.

*sheesh*

No wonder I've got my paws full with her.

A girl's got to do what a girl's got to do...

And not only is she bigger, but she's crazy. Seriously. Look at this; her head is on backwards!

Oy veh.

And what is up with the Crazy Eyes?

She's not faster than me, BTW. She's just too lazy to run all the across the yard (like it's So Far...) to get the frisbee...

As an aside, look at her running style compared to mine; I am all nimble-like, while she lumbers...

Help! I've got a herd of elephants chasing me! Oh, wait, that's just Lard Butt. Heehee.

It's a good thing that this is Abby's natural position in snow:

Seriously. She does this a lot...

As long as I'm quicker I think I'll be okay.

And I really do love her. And as the Thundering Herd pointed out, bitey-face with a hamster would be entertaining only once, and after that, not so much. So I guess I'll keep Abby, even if she has grown (and is still growing) into a Lard-Butted Hippobottomus! *grin*

We know what ya mean....Puppys from the class of 2010 are just huge...our Uncle Puppy is 30 pounds..."supposedly" out of a 4 pound poodle dad and 22 pound cocker mom. Must be something in the water. And yea Bobo is 16 pounds...the same as the weight difference as between you girls.

Have fun with your daily bitey face and keep the pictures coming cause we love 'em!

Hello Miss Fiona! 15 pounds, that's me! You're sister is carrying me arounds with her. I wouldn't mind being carried around all day. Sometimes I find walking all together over-rated!! My hooman is always telling me, "More walking and less sniffing!" Can I help it that ever blade of grass, every leaf, every twig, begs to be sniffed?

If you feel you need the upperhand every now and then, you can get a saddle pack and I'll ride in it.. Then you will be evens with Abby!! BOL

I think it's a good thing that you run all nimble like, because I'd advise outrunning her a lot more! Yegads! That's a big little sister!

Hiya Fiona,

Firstly, Charlie and I want to send you lotsa thanks for stopping over and sending us love during our dark ages.

Secondly, I really needed to read this post! You got me smiling with all your witty older sister Goldendoodle humor.

And we noticed you've had haircuts! They're quite stylish. Charlie's dreaming of the day that he'll be the same length all over again, and not have an embarrassingly huge patch of nothingness around his neck.

Are you really sure that Abby is a girl? You'd better check again, Fiona!

Dear Fi -

Cheoah here. Ok, ok, Cheesewhiz, but I was trying to go by my proper name. 38lb Cheesewhiz here. Soaking wet, I weigh 38 lbs. And apparently I am the only Sibe here who likes to swim, so soaking wet is a normal status for me.

Anyway, my big brothers are Kodiak (58 lbs) and Qannik (57 lbs) and Rusty (50 lbs). I take all 3 of them on. At the same time. And win.

Fair enough, I have more brain power than the 3 of them combined.

Just passing along some encouragement.

That head reversal is like total exorcist time. I think she might be a demon dog. You are in serious trouble.

OK, so we are WAY behind on blog-reading (for some reason mom thinks work is more important, sheesh). So everyone just thought your furs were getting fluffy, but it wasn't really your furs after all, huh? I just don't see how either of you could possibly not be solid muscle after all the calories you burn off playing endless bitey face!!

I can tell you two are sisters because of all the squabbling and name-calling - but I am sure you DO love each other really. Just be careful out there.

(I found you through the blog hop by the way).

see you again soon

Okay first off we think Lard-Buttockski is possessed and we know what we are talking about (we've seen The Exorcist). The swiveling head, the rolling eyes, the changing size? All indications of possession.

Second, obviously most of her bulk is because she needs a haircut. Do your folks need a road map here? Look at the extra fluff LB is tagging around with.

Get an exorcist and some shears and you will be back in charge.
