Maybe I should re-think that bitey-butt move.

Mom took Abby to the vet yesterday for her 12-week whatever-it-is-that-they-do thingy, and The Little Monster weighs 20 lbs!!! For reference, at my 12-week whatever, I was an ethereal 14 lbs. Um. If my math is right, that means that she is something like 40% bigger than me at the same age. If she continue on this trend, she'll be 70 lbs, to my petite 50 lbs.

Maybe she'll be a big lumbering 70lbs and I can out maneuver her. Or she'll stop growing next week. Or something.

The question is: do I beat up on her now, while I still have the advantage and take my licks later, or do I start playing nice now so that Rodan (as I envision Abby becoming) will take it easy on me? Decisions, decisions....

I mean, it is kind of fine bitey-ing the little monster. Maybe I'll just take my chances...

Besides, when the post person show up with pictures like these ones below, I am thinking that I should be allowed to bitey the "little angel" as often as I can. I mean, Oh Puh-Leeese! She is nowhere near as innocent in person as she is in these pictures.

(The pictures are hard copies and Mom tried to take digital pictures of them so she could post them, so they don't look quite as clear here as they do in person...)

Oh Fi -

I say keep it up. Let the little one (for now) know who's the boss....even if (when) she outgrows you - she'll know who's in charge.

Bitey all the way baby! start your prescedence NOW. a few reasons: some big dogs don't know how big they are or that size really does matter and ever see small little doggies who rule the roost! size is so not important.

juno's smaller than Loki and she rules him around like he's a wanton slave... so bitey on Fi!

My mom says that I am twice as big as Brudder Ranger but I don't know if I believes her. Cuz as soon as I moved in, Brudder Ranger sat me down and had a long talk with me about how HE was the big dog around the house. And I believe him! So's I'm sure if you keep reminding Abby that you're the big dog, she'll prolly always think that.

So keep biting that heinie!

Show her who's the boss right now - so that when she gets bigger, she won't have to question it.

Those pictures have our Mom oohing and aahing.

We say you beat her up now. Show her who's boss. Then when she gets older, even though she is bigger, she will still think that you are the boss and won't fight you. LOL!

Hmm.... Tough decision. Don't know what to tell ya, other than the fact that although Mason weighs 3 times as much as I do, I have no problem kicking his labrabutt everyday. So I say go for the bitey face; if you can't outwiegh her, at least you can outwit the little monster!!

Time to start stealing her food! That ought to stunt her growth a little!

Bite the butt NOW! Maybe it will put the fear in her and she will not try anything when she is older.

Queen Natasha the Evil is quite clear - size does not matter, attitude does. She keeps the boys in check here quite well and Kodiak and Qannik are both 20% bigger than here.

Even if she is a giant mutant puppy like my nephew, you just show her you are boss and she will always think you are bigger.

Dear Fiona,
I hate to make you jealous but Abby is pretty darn cute even if she really isn't all that innocent. Don't worry, I think you are super cute too! You will always be the first born and always will be so take it easy on Abby because she may become your best friend one day!
