It's about TIME

I noticed that Mom hasn't updated our bloggie, in, like, EVER.  When I asked her about it, she was all like, "I've been so busy.  And there hasn't been anything interesting going on."  Nothing interesting?  Hello?!?  Just because Mom works all the time doesn't mean that we aren't doing fun stuff.  We've had doggie classes, we've had warm weather, we just got a ton of snow.  How is this 'nothing interesting'?  With that calmly presented reasoning, Mom agreed that perhaps she had been slacking a wee bit, and would rectify the situation forthwith.

So...  From our last post of snow, it got really warm (60F+) for a while, and all our snow melted, which made for funballs melting snow times and funballs doggie classes.

Looking all attentive at doggie class while our last snowfall was melting.
Bitey-face in melting snow.  That grumbling you hear in the background is Mom talking about 'mud'.

More funballs doggie class time
For those of you who have been wondering, we are continuing our doggie education in the hopes of eventually being awarded a Ph.D. in Sucking Up for Treats.  Heehee!

And we got in some funballs frisbee time in the warm fall weather.

And, of course, there were plenty of fall zoomies.

Mud zoomies!

But, as you all, know, there are NO zoomies like snow zoomies!  And winter finally came (back) to Utah, dumping almost 2 feet of snow at our house from Friday to mid-day Sunday.

SNOW ZOOMIES!!!

And Dad got to play with ALL his snow toys over the course of the weekend...

Saturday morning before our doggie class...
Mid-day Sunday.
Apparently Dad isn't super thrilled when he gets to pull out all his snow toys, multiple times.  Huh.  Imagine that!  Heehee!  But you did a great job on the driveway, Dad!

Despite the inclement weather on Saturday, Mom chauffeured us to doggie class on Saturday.  It was still snowing when we went to class, but luckily Mom's little car is a good snow car, and we got to doggie class safe and sound.  Which was a good thing, as unbeknownst to us, there were two youngsters who were finishing up their 'Puppy 1' class, and were getting a taste of what future classes might be like.

The youngsters (both 6 months old) were a tad wild and crazy for my taste, so I took advantage of my sister's ample bottom and hid while she schooled the youngsters.

Crazy little labragal!
Of course, the class was not all bitey-ing.  There were a whole bunch of tasks to 'complete' throughout the store, and we were able to show off our higher edjumacation.

'Down for 15 seconds'?  Piece o' cake!
There were lots of other people and doggies in the store, so we had a great time.  And Mom had a fun time playing around with Photoshop settings...

Olde fashioned doggeys!

While we were having fun, the pups were, well, being crazy puppies...

Puppy Jaws of Doom!  (We were NEVER that young.  Well, Abby might have been, but I certainly never was!)
But lest you think our younger companions were total doofuses, we feel compelled to post at least one picture of them behaving, especially the labragal, who was such a suck-up!

*sheesh*

Anyhoo, after doggie class, we spent more time frolicking in the snow (and then coming in and melting...).  And then on Sunday we went on a walkie while Dad cleaned off the driveway (again).

Yep, looks like winter again...
And then in the afternoon, we spend more time frolicking in the snow.

There was actually so much snow that we got a little bogged down at times.  (And lost two frisbees... Good thing Mom has a number of Emergency Backup Frisbees!)

Snow doggie!
But this snow stuff?  PAWSOME!!

C'mon Mom.  Let's play!!!
Now that the storm is over, the temps are going to be quite cold (it's currently 11F, and is expected to get close to 0F tonight...).  I guess winter is here!  At least for a bit!

Snow Pictures and Stuff

First, I would like to thank Dennis again for my new tag line, "Zoom-Zoom"!!! Mom has placed the order with the nice people from Fetching Tags, and I should have it in a couple of weeks. I can hardly wait!!! Mom says that my "Dogzilla" tag will be put on her fob for her car keys. Just because she can.

Anyhoo, Dennis charity of choice is the Vizsla Rescue Haven. As Dennis describes them, "they care for vizslas wot cannot be adopted owt doo to separayshun anxiety or destruktive behayvyor like eeting furnitcher or .... hay wayt that sownds like me!!!" Heehee. That Dennis, cracks me up - when I can translate his spelling, that is! Anyway, we read all about the place, and it sounds like a really cool place, and I was very happy to send Mom's green papers to them!

Thank you again, Dennis, for my cool tag line! (It makes me want to go to a car race... Alas, I'll have to wait until March to show off my tag at the races. Maybe I can get Mazda to feature me on one of their ads... Heehee!)

Speaking of car races, Mom and Dad put the House With Wheels into storage today. I know that seems like a leap in topics, but when Abby and I go to car races, we go in the House With Wheels... Or maybe I've just been reading too much of Dennis' bloggie lately, and my brain leaps off on tangents in a heartbeat... With winter upon us, Mom and Dad got it all packed up (and unpacked), and took it down to a heated indoor storage facility in Salt Lake today. So no, we are not going to southern Utah this year (maybe I can convince Mom and Dad to take us in the spring... I like hiking near Zion...), but Mom says that they should be skiing in three weeks.

Frankly, I have no idea what this skiing thing is, nor do I know why they are doing it, but whatever. They seem happy. Maybe they are thinking of skijoring...

Mom says "no". Something about how if Abby or I decided to go chase something, Mom and/or Dad would be "in trouble". Hmm. I think she's just lacking a certain sense of adventure. Note from Mom: I think the girls need a little more control on the leash before we give this a shot. However... I'm not totally opposed to the idea, and may actually buy the book to see if it is something we could possibly do, or if we should just stick to snowshoeing with them, as the skijoring thing seems to have a potential for disaster requiring surgical repair.

Mom DID say that we are going to be hiking/snowshoeing with them this winter, and has purchased booties for us so that we don't get snow/ice in our paws.

So, we're ready!!!! Let it snow!!!!

Unfortunately, at the moment our snow is melting, but Mom says that I shouldn't worry; we'll have plenty of snow soon enough - and apparently we are supposed to get a BIG storm next week. So I can live with a little melting as long as more is on the way.

In the meantime, Abby and I will frolic in the slush (and the mud!!! Sorry Mom, but mud is fun!!!)
