Business as Usual

Which, of course, means that this is another photo-heavy post.  What can I say?  Mom is having fun with her flashy beast (or non-flashy beast, as it has been beautiful weather, and we've been able to spend lots of quality time outside this week.)  Don't say you haven't been warned!

Without any snow, this week was a typical spring week for us; walkies, tennis ball action, and more tennis ball action.  Which is pretty much how we thing spring should be spent.

We had some acrobatic moves....

Sproing!

Notice the ball in the upper right-hand corner?  That explains my deer-like springing!

There was also much zoomie action.

Yes, I loves me tennis ball zoomies!

Abby isn't always the fastest of zoomers.

Me?  I zoom so fast that my hind feeties can sneak up in front of my front feeties!

My ears are being blown back by my zoomie speed!

Check out that zoomie-induced ear flappage!

The Hippobottomus has some good cornering skills!

More flying hind feeties!

Am I having fun?  Do you even have to ask?!?

Synchronized zoomies!

There were also a few bloopers....

Heheh.  What a goofball!

Close, but no tennis ball!
There was also much relaxing...

Life is good!

Deceptively Innocent Looking

Shifty-eyed fluffy puppy!
For those of you who have been paying attention, you'll have noticed that our Mom finally mowed the grass this weekend.  Which was a good thing, as my leggies were vanishing in the long grass....

I am lying down here, but the grass was long enough that it served as our primary defense against the imminent Corgi invasion!

Ahhh!  My leggies have returned.  But our primary defense against the Corgis is gone, so how we'll have to convince the rabbits to allow themselves to be herded by the Corgis, thus distracting the short-legged doggies while we don our tinfoil hats.  (If this comment makes no sense to you, well, it's a long story, but Corgi Collective is planning on assimilating the world and we are trying to delay the inevitable.  If this comment still makes no sense, you are probably already subjects of the Corgi Overlords!)
And, Mom got a few other 'fun' photos.

Mom says this is one of her favorite photos of me.  I can't blame her!
And for those of you who have been wondering why we call Abby 'the Hippobottomus', wonder no longer... Look at that rumpus!

Heehee!

*kissey face*

PeeEss:  For those of you wondering what has happened to our frisbees, we still have them, Mom is just being cautious as she doesn't want Abby to 'tweak' anything again.  Abby is totally fine, so Mom will be breaking them out again in small doses, but we are having a grand time with the tennis balls.  And tennis ball action seems to wear Abby out more than frisbee action does - and Mom (and I) think a tired Abby is a good Abby!

We think your mom should have her own show with all the great shots she has been getting. Maybe a book too!

Meanwhile, we are all laying on the porch napping in the sun. Hu-dad is muttering something about it is hard to get action shots without action.

I love how you each carry the tennis ball differently! You better watch out for the Corgis.....you never know when they might join up with another long and short group of pups!
