Bartley's For Dogs Review

A little while ago, our buddy Garth Riley introduced our Mom to Bartley's for Dogs.  They are a very cool company that only sells organic and USA-made treats (which is really nice, given all the scares with dog 'treats' coming out of China that are being recalled or just come from sketchy sources), toys and other doggie goodies.  They also donate a portion of every purchase to a specific rescue organization, and to a specific dog.  You even get a tag on your purchase that tells you which dog you helped rescue.

The nice people from Bartley's original sent us a few products to test out: a bag of Tasty Chicken Blue Bits, and a Simply Fido bunny (made of organic cotton).  

 
Both items were a huge hit!  First, the Blue Bits.  Wow, wow, and wow!!!!  Mom is always on the lookout for 'high value' training treats to use at doggie classes and during our photography sessions.    We LOVED the Blue Bits.

I mean, we are not normally hat-wearing doggies.  But when Mom was armed with the Blue Bits, we suddenly became hat-wearing dogs.

Arr!  Now fork over the Blue Bits!

Ma'am, you were caught going 60 in a 25mph zone.  Hand over the Blue Bits and I'll just give you a warning.

Heehee!  Talk about amazing training treats!

On to the bunny.  We are sort of hit-and-miss with toys, but we like the bunny because she's got a squeaker and she's well made.  True, there has been no tug-o-war, but with much pouncing and 'searching for the squeaker' on Abby's part, she has held up well and hasn't even had to go to the Stuffie ER yet!

This is MY bunny now.  I will hug her and pet her and call her George!  Heehee.  Just kidding.

In short, we were very impressed with the goodies we were sent to review.  However, Mom felt that to give a truly complete review, she should actually order some stuff from Bartley's and see how that went.

Mom, we need more Blue Bits!

First, Mom was impressed with their competitive prices; we ordered more Blue Bits and a variety of soft and chewy Buddy Biscuits and Mom said they cost the same as they would have at Petco.  Then, they shipped them Super Fast!  We had our treats in almost no time!  (Okay, it was shipped via priority mail - which is basically no time!)  And, we got our treats packed in recycled burlap bags (inside the mailing box, of course) and each bag had a card attached to it, with the code telling us which doggie we helped rescue.  It turns out we helped rescue 'Garbo' a two year-old Yorkie in Florida.  We even got to see several pictures of her. What a cutie!

In summary, we give Bartley's for Dogs a full four paws up.  Here's what we really love about them:

• Organic and Made in USA treats and toys only - no more wondering where your treats are coming from!
• Great customer communication (an email confirming our order and another confirming shipment)

• Competitive Prices
• A portion of the proceeds goes to a dog in need, and you get to see photos of that actual dog.
