Nekkid Snow Doggies!

Actually, our week started off quite warm, and almost all our snow melted.  Not that that stopped us from getting some frisbee action, of course.  Because by the time Mom gets home from work (which is not particularly late, BTW), the sun is low in the sky, she's been having a hard time getting 'low-light' photos.  She's been messing around with the ISO settings, which have resulted in photos that aren't so blurry, but are also more grainy. (Our Mom is not exactly what you would call 'knowledgeable' when it comes to camera settings, so she's just experimenting blindly...)  Oh well; grainy action photos are better than no action photos...

Classic Abby.  She really could do this All Day Long.  Except for when she gets hot and needs a break!

Mom alternates throwing frisbees - one to me, one to Abby - usually until 6 or 8 frisbees are in 'play'!

Yep, the springs in her legs are still working!

And yes, Abby will ALWAYS be a Goof-a-doodle; she can't help herself!
I can do that 'classic' frisbee pose, too!

Abby is a fan of catching the frisbee with her entire face!  heehee!

So we were able to make the 'no snow' thing work, although we weren't happy about it. Partially because the temps were in the mid 50s, and we are already dressed for winter.

"'Wooly'?  Naw.  Just ready for mid-winter.  Is it my fault that it's only November?"

Okay, so Abby's a bit shaggy....

So, being good Doodles, we kept a close eye on the weather forecast and the barometer (Mom finally set up a nifty little weather station that gives indoor and outdoor temps, barometric readings, phases of the moon and other cool stuff).  We were very happy to see the barometer dropping and snow in the forecast, so when Saturday morning came, we were READY!!!

Nothing better than frisbee action in winter!

Seriously.  This is awesome!

No snow or snow storm, Abby is always a frisbee pro!

Dad was a tad less happy about the snow...

When we came back in from our morning romp in the snow (and all the snowballs had finally melted off our legs), Mom decided that it was the perfect time for haircuts.  All because some of us *cough*Abby*cough* were hot while playing in the snowstorm...

Enough with the photos, Dad.  Let the Crazy Lady, erm, Mom finish this hair cutting nonsense so Abby and I can go back and play in the snow some more!
So, 87 hours later, when Mom was finally done with the hair cuts (Mom kept muttering about having removed enough hair to make several more dogs - I have No Idea what she's talking about...), Abby and I got to go back and play in the snow some more!

My sister is really tall!

Not that I'm a midget or anything...

Clearly losing "a few extra dogs' worth of hair" (so said Mom), gave Abby some extra 'lift'!

Wheee!
For those of you who are wondering, no we aren't cold with our hair short like this.  When it gets super cold (sub-zero temps - which is usually in January, and usually not for very long), we won't have short hair like this, but when it is in the teens, 20s and 30s, we are quite comfy with the short hair.  And it makes us more aerodynamic in our frisbee actions.

And we took full advantage of our new aerodynamic coats; when we woke up this morning, we were pleased to see that it had snowed several more inches (no, Dad was NOT pleased - although he was pleased that it had stopped snowing), and so after our morning walkie, we went back out for more frisbee funballs action.

This would be the Happy Dog Frisbee Snow Dance!

Frisbee, meet my Jaws of Doom!

As Dexter's Mom commented, Abby looks like a Tyrannosaurus Rex here.  Arrrrgh!

Why, yes, I do look all sleek and aerodynamical here!

Did I mention that we LOVE frisbee action in snow?

Sproing!

"Mine!"

Abby has a LONG body.  We think she's part Giant Dachshund!

Another frisbee for ME!!!

Good times!
So, yes, we are Very Happy Nekkid Snow Doggies!

I'll say in again, you girls are amazing in the snow. You could be one of Santa's reindeer how you fly in the air.

Wow! My master has exactly the same snow blowing outfit as your dad. I'll bet if you got close enough that I'd see the familiar grumpy face expression. Well, some things just have to be done.

That is a great picture of your mom. I'll bet she was exhausted after doing all that doodle trim work, but it does seem to have enabled added height from the doodle launch.

Kisses,
Dexter
