Another Busy Week!

We started the week off with more snow.  (Which is fine by us.  Mom was less thrilled by following snowplows all the way down Parley's Canyon on Tuesday morning, but she conceded that following the plows was much better than being ahead of the plows and thus finding herself driving on a road that hadn't been plowed in a while...  Besides, Mom better suck it up; if our high level of squirrel activity is any indication of the winter to come, it will be snowing into July!)

Sights locked, jaws open!

Abby with some nice ear flappage!

Snow!  Glorious snow!

Those pictures were taken Monday, and we actually got quite a bit more snow on Tuesday, but Mom had some meeting at work that kept her at the office until 5:30pm, and by the time she got home at 6:30pm, it was "Too Dark for Frisbee".  Mom, if you got us glow-in-the-dark frisbees and a camera that took good low-light action shots, it would NEVER be "too dark for frisbee"!  Just saying....

By Wednesday, it had started to warm up, and our snow had started to melt.

"Outta my way, Abs!  This frisbee is MINE!"

Yep, I've got some spring in my leggies!

And Abby has A LOT of spring in her leggies!

Yep, life is awesome!

Sproing!

As the week went on, the weather got nicer and nicer, and while it  meant our snow was receding, we still had plenty of frisbee funballs times.  Although with the short days, by the time Mom gets home (even on days without meetings), our afternoon frisbee time is in 'low light' according to Mom's camera, so forgive the blurry shots.

Jaws of Doom!

She really is a long dog!

Gotcha!
"Frisbee hoarding?  Who?  Me?  Naw.  I'm just 'protecting' them!  Heehee!"
Eventually the weekend came, and the weather was absolutely beautiful - sunny and warm and perfect.  So in between Mom bouts of housework, we got in a lot of frisbee action.

I think Abby is working on some of the basic routines for the ballet Doodle Lake.

Me?  I'm working on my Kung-Fu.
And some basic frisbee catches.

Piece o' cake!

The breeze was kicking up a bit at times, so Abby often found herself tied in knots as she twisted around to catch the frisbees.

And I got in long stretches for the catch!

The weather was also so perfect that we went on some long walkies!  (Although our Saturday morning walkie was cut short because there were two moosies in the driveway of a house we walk by, and as we got closer, they started to get interested in us, and we barked hello, and so of course the moosies got more interested, and Mom thought maybe we should turn around before we tried to engage the moosies in a game of bitey-face.  Mom can be a serious kill-joy at times.)  But Saturday afternoon we went on a Super Long Walkie!

Mom has very long leggies.  And two blobs on strings.  Heehee!
On this particular walkie, Abby started to get lazy and would fall behind while I led the way.
  "It's all uphill from here!"
At one point, Mom wanted to get a picture of the hills and the little canyon between the road we were on and the hillside where our house is.  We were less than thrilled.

"Mom.  This is the easement for the oil pipeline.  Seriously not interesting, so we're not cooperating for a photo."

"Heheh.  You really thought we were going to cooperate?  You're so funny, Mom!"

And, of course, there was more frisbee time when we weren't on walkies or dodging moosies.

If you look closely, you'll notice Mom had just brushed Abby's teeth!  Heehee!

"C'mon, everybody!  Let's do the twist!"

Did I mention that Abby is a long-torso-ed doggie?

More stretching catches!

Is it me, or does Abby look like she's been caught up in the Rapture?  Heehee!

Oooh!  Apparently I was caught up in the Rapture, too!  Heehee!

I don't think Abby actually caught this one, but it is a now-classic pose.

See, I'm not as long-torso-ed as Abby.

Yep, she does this All The Time.

And I do this All The Time!

Seriously, this girl has springs for legs!
Because some of us *cough*Abby*cough* got hot on our long walkie on Saturday, Mom thought maybe she'd give us baths and haircuts this weekend.

Abby is hot, so I have to get a bath?  Explain this to me.

Mom, do my wet hairs make my schnozz look big?
We were supposed to be 'drying' in the sun, but we chose to bitey each other, instead!

Luckily, by the time we were washed and dried and brushed, Mom decided she was "too tired" to cut our hairs this weekend.  So I am looking quite floofy at the moment.  Mom says "shaggy" but I say floofy!

"Who you calling "shaggy"?  I'm most definitely floofy!"
The weather is supposed to continue to be nice for a while, so, yes, that means we'll get more frisbee action!  (Although Mom might follow-through on her threat to give us haircuts....)

Finally, we'd like to give a shout out to all the veterans of all our US armed forces - thank you for all you have done so we can enjoy life, liberty and the pursuit of frisbees!

I'm a bit worried about the "caught in the rapture" photos. Has your mom now installed a magnet in the trees to add to the launcher?

Even those "low light" photos are less blurry than the ones my mom takes. Of course her flashy is so old she can't even find useful tips online for it.

We might get snow on Tuesday. If we do, daycare will rock!

I'm LOVING the floofy look! Maybe convince your mom not to cut it?

Looking through your photos, I fear that mom's labralauncher can't possibly compete.

You are sooooo lucky to live in such a beautiful place! I miss the mountains :) P.S. Love your floofy face picture. We got our first dusting of snow last night but it was gone by the time I got home from work. Was hoping the first one would be a biggie so Newton's first experience would be awesome.
