Snow!

It's true!  Snow!

For those of you who have been paying attention, our last measurable snowfall was Memorial Day (May 30th) until this morning!  (Which, if you do the math - or count on your toes - is a wee bit more than 4 months without snow.  Four whole months!!!  If that's not proof positive of global warming, I don't know what is!)  But never fear, the weather people had predicted snow this week, and we were pleasantly surprised to see they actually got it right!

When we went out at 6:30 this morning, Mom brought out the camera, so she could document the first snow of the season.  Because nothing actually happens unless you takes pictures and post them on the internet.  It's sort of like a tree falling in an empty forest...  Heehee.

She was worried the snow might melt before the sun rose, and she'd miss her photo op...

No worries on that front!

And when there's new snow... Well, you can all say it with me... "Bitey-face is ALWAYS better in new snow!"  Abby and I took full advantage of the conditions the get in some early-season bitey-face (we've got a long winter bitey-face season; early-season on-snow conditioning is crucial to a successful season!).

Dancing with the 'Doodles

Sisterly love at its finest!

This snow won't stay - we'll have our grass back soon, and I'm sure we'll have some warmer days before Winter begins in earnest.  (We don't have snow on the ground 'permanently' until November.  Which means lots of wet, muddy footprints upon which Mom can gaze fondly and think loving thoughts of us!)

But we'll enjoy it while we've got it!

And Abby will do what she does best while the snow lasts!  Heehee!

BTW, since it's the first snow of the season, we're winding up the rubber band on Air Fiona, and we'll be sending it out to all you snow dogs (and you know who you are) who are in serious need of a fix!  Sibe Party at Fiona and Abby's House!!!  Mom won't notice a few hundred more muddy footprints!

We are a little below you in elevation so My Vickie says I have to wait a bit. All we are getting on the wasatch front is rain, rain and more rain. But we see it when we look up in the hills where you are.

Have fun for me please, cause My Vickie says we can't come up into the mountains for a few more days.

Fiona...that's totally crazy...

SNOW?

We loved your comment about pre winter conditioning being crucial to bitey face success....

As for you photos? Mumsie's drooling with jellyness...that one of you two dancing could win something...Hallmark does do contests...

As for muddy floor footprints...Mumsie and Daddy are in NC in the mountains...we're in jail. So the night before they leave (after we got to jail) she steams the carpet in the family room so she could just THINK about how it would stay clean for 5 whole days. Sheesch...talk about obsessive.

Love you girlies...

Lots of cold air here, but no snow yet. We are still a few weeks away from first flakes. But Sibe noses are searching.

oh my goodness! Already? That is amazing! I love that first picture of the snowy scene – the one that is a bit dark – it is so atmospheric and just like a winter wonderland!

And Hsin-Yi says she can totally agree with your human about how nothing ever really happens – or happened – unless you take a picture of it and put it on my blog – ha ha!
