PeeEss: Mom started off with just the front feet so we could get used to the booties as some of us (possibly me) are a wee bit reluctant when exposed to new experiences... By the end of the adventure we were quite happy with our booties!
We went with booties on the front paws first so we could get used to them, since some of us (maybe me) wanted them off at first. Later (when Mom didn't have the camera), we put on all four.
Well nows dat purty smart of your mom to do dat...thanks furs explanin'. Ya'll looks like ya'll is havin' sooooo much fun in da snow! I hope we gets some.
We have not gone through the bootie transition phase yet this winter. We are fine with walking in snow (would make sense, eh?), but all the stuff they put on roads can be quite bad for the paws. So we wear booties then.
Actually we are kind of surprised that you like them! We would think that they would be uncomfortable...
No way are we letting our mom put them on us!!! Bad enough she makes us wear the stupid coat. xoxo Chloe (LadyBug...on the other hand...is the fashion plate!)
You ladies are so good. Me being the rebel doggie would have fought tooth and nail! I pride myself in being impossible, even if the humans are trying to help :)
Do you need booties in the snow? My retriever goes without, although when it's deep, he keeps stopping to bite out those annoying bits that get stuck in his pads...
We found your blog through your comment on Two Pitties in the City.... I had just bought the REI boots for Darwin and we've tried it out in the house, but after seeing your comment I think I'm going to return them and try the Ultra Paws one. I like that they have double velcro straps. Have they ever fallen off?

I have the same boots! My mom bought them last year and I wore them once and then rebelled!

My Grandpa Angus wore the booties. He hated them at first but then he figured out they meant walkies and he was all over it for sure.
You seem to be extra bouncy with yours.
