Like sands through the hourglass...

Heehee. Forgive the title. Mom has been 'writing' a lot lately, and she's prone to the dramatic and the ridiculous at the moment. And her 'writing'? It seems to consist of her tapping away on her computer, giggling to herself occasionally, and then making some obscure comment to anyone who will listen (which is usually Abby) about public latrines in ancient Rome. Seriously, my Mom is crazy.

Anyhoo. Enough about my crazy mother. Today's weather has gone downhill, and Mom is threatening to cart us both off to daycare (particularly since a certain large-bottomed sister of mine doesn't get the concept of just kicking back and enjoying a mellow day curled up on the bed next to Mom while she taps away on her keyboard). Daycare is fun, so I won't complain, but I would rather be playing in the snow, or like this weekend, running around in the last nice days of fall...

Mom says the following pictures would result in serious fines in the NFL. I have no idea what she's talking about. (As usual.)

Yeah, um, whatever, Mom.

Blame the blurriness of these next couple of pictures on the fact that the sun is not as high in the sky as it should be as it is in mid-summer.

The next two are in sequence (Mom's little camera doesn't get fast-action shots like the big camera does...)

Yep, I was waiting for her to make her move... Heehee.

And here are just a couple of random zoomie shots...

It is now officially sleeting, and Mom and Dad can see snow about 500 feet higher up, so we'll have snow soon. My Hippobottomus sister is creating havoc and mayhem, so we'll go off to daycare for a few hours to give Mom and Dad some peace and quiet, and to give Abby a chance to work out her Puppy Crazies. Seriously, I may have had my moments as a youngster, but this monster sister of mine puts the Energizer Bunny to shame; she's got the Puppy Crazies from first thing in the morning until late at night. She just Doesn't Stop. I wonder if Mom and Dad could exchange her for something with a little less energy... Or go get her a Yorkie to keep her occupied... I'm just saying...

I'll leave you with this picture of me; Mom caught it in the late afternoon sun, and she particularly likes how the light highlights my natural red hair...

Puppies keep dogs younger.

As long as we don't have to have any around here.

Hey! I loves me the yorkies! for reals. i love all dogs of course but i've always wanted a yorkie or a lap dog. sigh. always have the mosters like you two gals.

good thing you're so read cuz i couldn't tell you and abby apart!

and I love your mom's stories about saudi. Mr. Wild Dingo was based there while in the Navy. I never went (wasn't with him back then... he's like 100 years older than me anyway)... but he has some good saudi stories too.

and what doesn't your mom do? she has dogs, she writes, she races cars and RV's... and now she's a cyclist too? geesh... what an over achiever! maybe you and the energizer bunny burn her out a bit... ;)
cheers,
wild dingo

ps. you'll have to write and tell me where your mom live now and what she does for a living (if anything, cuz i sure don't now!) ... i can't remember if she told me before... forgive me, i'm like a zillion years old. can you imagine how old Mr. Wild Dingo is now? ancient!

Ha! HA! I like Misty the Poodle's comment...I second that! I hope I shall always be an ONLY doggie! :-)

Fiona - I'm so glad to find another doggie with a crazy writer human - now I don't feel so alone! My human is also spending a lot of time this month tapping at the computer, only she is not giggling to herself - she's making strange faces at the screen and grinding her teeth a lot...hmm, me & Paul keep well out of her way when she's like that. Paul says all writers are "moody" which I think is just a polite word for grumpy!!

Love these action shots! We can't tell which legs belong to who (whom?) in that first pic. You girls look so ladylike - but you play like BOYS :)

Your mom always gets the best action shots, how does she do it? Then again if you two are flailing around 24/7 I guess you give her plenty of chances, eh?? Well, gotta go - Carmen is chewing on my leg...

That looks like fun! I play that way with my cat, but she's so small sometimes when I play too rough she tattles on me and I get in trouble.
My favorite move is 'sit on her head'. I wish I had a crazy sister to play with.

You do NOT need a yorkie. We shall box up uncle puppy and send him to Utah! We will pay for shipping and send food, toys and a sweater (if we can find one big enough). Problem solved!
