Happy Birthday to Dad!

We haven't been blogging much lately - mostly because we don't type very well and Mom has been busy with her 'day job' and her photography business.  She's been reading all sorts of stuff about marketing and sales and all sorts of stuff.  Apparently there is more to a photography business than just taking pretty pictures.  Who knew?

Anyhoo, Mom did manage to take some time today to help us celebrate Dad's birthday.  We thought 'celebrating Dad's birthday' would involve the Magic Cheeseburger Window, but apparently it involved silly headwear and liver treats, instead.  At least there were liver treats....

Happy birthday, Dad!  Really.  We mean it!  Just because we aren't smiling doesn't mean we are any less sincere!

And we don't even get cheeseburgers for this.... *sigh*

Yeah, um, happy birthday.  Can we go now?
Really, Dad, happy birthday!

BTW, you may have noticed that we are nekkid.  We have had an unseasonably warm winter (sorry to all our pals on the East coast), and our 'long' winter haircuts were just too hot for us, so Mom took out the clippers yesterday and made us all nekkid-like.

Don't we both look so thrilled?
However, it is much nicer to not have all that extra hair - we are way more into spring zoomies when we are nekkid!

The springs in Abby's leggies work even better when she's nekkid!
Anyway, Happy Birthday, Dad!  Even if we didn't get cheeseburgers...

Happy Birthday to Goose!

We want to wish our buddy Goose a very happy 15th birthday!  Fifteen!!!!  And yet he doesn't look a day over ten!  (Go visit our buddy Goose and give him some birthday love - go on, we'll wait!)    If you don't know Goose, you should spend some time perusing his bloggie; not only is Goose a wise, handsome guy, but he and his Mom have a lot of funballs times together.

However, we have to confess that Goose's birthday is even extra special for us, because yesterday our Mom got to meet Goose in the furs, and take some photos of him.  She has like 87 million photos of Goose, so it will take a while to get them all organized, but here are a few photos from her shoot with Goose and his Mom yesterday, celebrating Goose's birthday.  (He's been celebrating for the last couple of weeks, but can you blame him?)

Goose, a Momma's boy in the best possible way!
Mom, being Mom, brought The Dreaded Party Hats. (I have a feeling Goose wasn't given any advance warning about these party hats.... and seriously, what is it with our Mom and these silly hats?!?)
Of course, Goose is used to his Mom putting silly hats on his head, so the two of them have this routine down.

It's okay, Goose.  We both look silly.  And besides, I have a plan....

Mom, tell me more about this plan....

When Dr. Liz gets here for the group photo, well, you'll see.  But in the meantime, act natural.
Ah-ha!  Goose and his Mom managed something we have never been able to accomplish - they got our Mom to wear one of those dreaded party hats!  Goose, if we didn't already love and admire you, this would have totally sold us on your wonderfulness!

Good job, Goose!!!!
Goose and his Mom have a very special bond, and our Mom was really lucky to capture that special bond and make it tangible.

Have a great birthday, Goose!!!  And thanks for getting her to wear one of those silly hats!!!

Photos from the Blogville Valentine's Heart 2 Heart Dance!

Yes, yes, yes, the photographers' assistant was a bit slow in getting the photos from the Blogville Heart 2 Heart Dance printed.  As the photographers, we were totally on top of things, but Mom was a bit slow on getting the prints done for everyone.   So, without further adieu, here are the guests that were able to make it to our photo booth!

We also had these two handsome bachelors come by our booth.  How could these two possibly be bachelors?!?  Charley, Abby wants to know if you like long walks, kibble at midnight and tennis balls... If so, she says she's available!  (Although you should probably be warned, we have a reputation for taking gentlemen out on crazy dates...).

Thanks to everyone who stopped by our photo booth!

Finally! A Post!

Mom says that we are to blame for not having a post last week.  She alleges that we held her down and demanded scratchies.  Our attorneys have advised us to make no comment, so while we can neither confirm or deny the aforementioned allegations, we will admit that there is the slightest chance that her allegations are not completely outside the realm of possibility.

So, what have we been up to the last two weeks, you ask?  Well, while the rest of the country has been dealing with Snowmageddon, we have been enjoying warmer than usual temperatures.

Which means lots of walkies, and lots of frisbee action.

Incoming!

Hi Mom!

Very nice ear flappage here!
Because the weather has been so warm, our snow has been turning to slush, which means Mom can throw snowballs for us!

Snowballs are PAWSOME!

In addition to all of the stuff that we have been doing, Mom has started photographing dogs and cats at the Salt Lake County Animal Shelter who are looking for the fur-ever homes. If you want to see some of her photos from her first shoot, check out this post on her photography site.  Mom goes back this Thursday, too, so she'll have more adoptable pet photos.  Because she is trying to get glamour shots to help the adoptable pets find their new homes, we let her practice her glamour shot photography on us.  And while we get a little miffed when Mom spends times with other dogs and cats, we don't mind her spending time at the shelter - she is doing good stuff, and we're really happy that her flashy beast is pointed at someone else for a change is helping other pets find their perfect families!

I don't know about this one - I'm not sure I'd adopt Abby with a photo like this!  Of course, I didn't have much say in her the first time around!   Heehee.  Just kidding Fluffs - I love you!
Finally, Mom has been busy working on her photography business, with getting samples in order, and trying to work with local businesses and stuff.   If you haven't checked out Mom's photography website, go check it out:  http://lizdranowphotography.com  - she's got all sorts of pictures and even a blog post with tips on how to get your own stunning pet photos!

At the moment, Mom has her canvas samples scattered around the house as she tries to figure out the best way to transport them to show potential clients how much of an impact a 20x28 canvas of their beloved pet can be.  One of the samples has Abby on it, larger than life (don't worry, another sample has Abby and me on it, also larger than life).  Mom noticed this morning that Abby was in front of the canvas, doing her best to imitate the photographic art behind her!  Heehee!

And while I have a bunch more photos I could have Mom post, I'd really rather get belly scratchies. So just imagine a whole bunch more frisbee action photos here, while I roll over onto my back so Mom can best administer belly scratchies!

Have a great week!

Another Week, More Activities of Daily Living

You'd think we spend all our lives being supermodels, given all the pictures Mom has of us.  Of course, we are supermodels, so I guess I'm just stating the obvious, huh?  Heehee.  Another week in the books for us, and we were Very Busy Conducting Our Activities of Daily Living.

There's no zoomies like snow zoomies!

Frisbee time is a very important part of our exercise regimen, and figures highly in our Activities of Daily Living.

As is tug-of-war.

We also did some posing for Mom.  Mostly because she always has treats in her pockets.  Hey, we are supermodels - we don't work for free, ya know!

Mom says this is one of her favorite photos of the week.  I think it is because of all that snow and blue skies!  If only a ginormous snooter weren't blocking the view!  Heehee!

Of course, this is also one of Mom's favorites - which I can completely understand!  Heehee!

Mom likes this photo, too, because Abby's eyes are so bright.  Personally, I don't know how come Abby isn't squinting with the sun in her eyes like that....  Mom says she does squint, but because Mom shoots in 'burst mode' (whatever that is) she can usually get one photo where Abby has her eyes open.  On the other hand, I don't like having the sun in my eyes at all!
Because there was much frolicking in the snow, there was much shaking off of the snow.  Mom is still working on her 'shake' photos.

As a total aside, my sister is a frisbee hog.

We also did some indoor posing because Mom has been moving the studio around.  Something about how where she had the backdrop didn't give her much room to back up and get full body shots of us, so she moved a bookshelf so she could move the bed (since the studio really is a bedroom with a bunch of photography stuff in it) so she could move the backdrop stand, so she could swallow the spider to catch the fly which wriggled and tiggled inside her.  *ahem*

Mom likes this.  It scares me a bit!

This was pre-furniture rearranging.

This is post furniture rearranging (Mom needs to extend the black backdrop out further...).

Mom even felt the need to photograph us she should have put the camera down so we could go on walkies.  I mean, we were already all harnessed up and Mom is still paying with her camera!

Hello?  The stairs are this way!

If I stare at the stairs long enough, maybe she'll get the hint...
All of these Activities of Daily Living can be a bit stressful.  Sometimes we just have to chill out a bit so we can deal with our high-stress lives...

Go away.  I'm de-stressing.

I'm de-stressing unless you have snacks.  Then I might be up for something.
Have a great week, and if you get stressed, take a nap!  It always works for us!
