In Which We Are Very Tolerant

While this week's photos don't actually reflect it, we got in a lot of tennis ball action this week.  We've had some rain, but that didn't really stop our tennis ball action.  Mom did bring out the camera on some of the sunny days, so we have proof that we got to chase tennis balls.

For some reason, Mom has been calling me a 'Sharkadoodle'.  Hey, so I might have watched some of Shark Week - I've got to do something while Mom is at work!  Heehee!

For some reason, Mom also says this photo is proof that my dog suit it too big.  I say it is comfortable!

"Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the backyard!"  Heehee!
Abby and I spent a little time challenging each other for Tennis Ball Dominance!

We called it a draw!

The Doodle Launcher was also used a bit.

Abby isn't the only one with springs in her leggies!
And there was much Watching the Ball (Mom, you might want to study our form here, if reports of your playing tennis are accurate...)

And, of course, there were many zoomies!

And Abby did many big stretchies to catch tennis balls!

So we were very happy about all the tennis ball action!

And it's a good thing we got in a lot of tennis ball action, because Mom wanted to spend some time on her 'off camera flash photography', and being the good, loving, tolerant, well-rewarded-with-treats dogs that we are, we indulged Mom and her flashy beasts.

Mom tried some 'studio lighting'

And she tried some dramatic lighting....

Obviously Abby has a dark side!  Heehee!

Even my 'dark side' isn't that dark!

Yuh, we're pretty much done here.
And she played around with lighting in the 'library' (as in Colonel Mustard did it in the library with the dog leash)...

Yes, I'd say we are Very Tolerant Doggies.  And we totally earned all the treats we got!

Have a great week, and make the humans pay you well if they insist on breaking out the flashy beast!

Another Week in the Dog Days of Summer

Yep, we are in the Dog Days of Summer (well, technically, the 'dog days of summer' are over, but it's still hot, and we think all summer days should be dog days, so we're going to say we are in the dog days of summer).  And we are trying to take full advantage of the summer days while we've still got them.  Of course, we are spending lots of time engaged in tennis ball action!

I got it!

Chomp!

I think someone told Abby about Shark Week!  Heehee!

Nice ear flappage!

Sharkadoodle!

I think Abby is having a 'bad hair day'!

Yes, I was watching Shark Week, too!

Abby, bouncing along as usual.

One giant leap for dog-kind!  Heehee!

Tennis balls are like diamonds - you can never have too many!

"Nice throw, Mom! (Not.)"

Stretchies!
And we've been doing some zoomies, as well.

The Dog Days of Summer are perfect for zoomies!

However, we have also indulged Mom in some of her photographic endeavors.  For reasons that aren't entirely clearly to us, Mom likes to set up flashy thing and umbrellas and whatever, and take photos of us.  We think she's kinda nuts, but there are lots of treats involved for us, so we tolerate her craziness.  And it keeps Mom happy, and a happy Mom is a Mom who keeps us in bully sticks!

The first day of Mom's flashy adventure involved indoor photos.  And yes, there were lots of treats involved.

"Yes, I'll smile for cheese!"

Dorkadoodle!
There are times, however, when I cannot possibly believe that I am related to this goofball they tell me is my sister.

"Abby, be serious.  This will all end sooner if we give Mom a couple of 'quality' photos."

Yes, Mom we LOVE this.  Now can we get some snacks and be done?
Mom, however, was so keen on her indoor success that she decided to photos outside with the flashy things.  Once again, we humored her.

My soulful look!

Abby going for a dramatic look!
I did take some time to work on my Jedi mind tricks (don't mock - I studied under TaiChi the Jedi Master, and she could will anything into her mouth).

You will give me the cheese bits.  And these are not the droids you're looking for.
Heehee.

Mom kept trying to get photos of the two of us together.  We didn't take that too seriously...

This was the best portrait we could give Mom, she calls it her version of American Gothic.  As usual, we have no idea what she's talking about.

We got a lot of treats, so we were happy.  And now we're going to continue to enjoy the Dog Days of Summer (because every day in summer is a Dog Day!)!
