Mid-Week Post: A "Few" Photos

Where "few" is slightly less than a bazillion.  If Mom waits until the weekend to do a post, it'll be another gargantuan post with 87,000 photos, even though she worked Monday and Tuesday, and goes back to work Thursday and Friday...

First, Happy New Year to everyone!  We were wild party animals, and almost stayed up to midnight (in Newfoundland)...

"Zzzzz..."
In our defense, we were worn out because we had a brief snow flurry Tuesday afternoon and we had to take advantage of the teeny bit of snow while we could...

It wasn't exactly a blizzard...

It was almost enough snow to be considered a 'dusting'.

But that didn't stop us from having fun!

Abby even worked on her dance moves in the snow.

And I focused on catching frisbees!
The rest of the week has been warm and sunny (and for those of you who claim that if there is snow on the ground, it can't be warm, well, temps in the 30s are warm - especially when a few weeks ago we were in single digits- which is really cold!).

Sproing!

"Houston, we have lift-off!"

I just don't know about this girl....

Mom's favorite late afternoon sunlight (where 'late' is 2pm)
Mom is still attempting to get pictures of us running toward her.  So far, nothing is up to Mom's exacting standards, but that doesn't keep her from trying.

"Look Ma!  No hands!"  Heehee!

You might want to duck, Mom!

"Hi Mom!"
Mom has also been getting some 'random shots to see what comes out' - which sounds an awful lot like pushing the button on the camera and hoping something good happens.  But what do I know?  I don't have opposable thumbs...

Abby, doing what she does best.

Goofadoodle extraordinaire!

Wheee!  I'm Queen of the Mountain!!

"Abs, if you let go of the frisbee, it makes it easier for Mom to throw it again.  Just saying..."
Of course, Mom always has to get some 'portraits'.  (Still without using the 'pet portrait' setting on her camera...)

In addition to getting striking photos of us, Mom is still in her 'shiny thing' phase.  She keeps trying to get 'cool' pictures of our Christmas lights.

Our buddy Frosty was even recruited when Mom was trying to get some 'bokeh' photos with the Christmas tree lights. We think she probably needs a bigger tree if this is really going to work out.

Did I mention that Mom is enamored with shiny things at the moment?

From the look on Abby's face, you can see why Frosty was recruited for the bokeh shots.

Seriously, Mom, I think you need a bigger tree, or something.
And there you have it.  I'm going to go curl up on the couch and wait for the weekend!

I'll be right here if you need me!

What is it with the Mom's and sticking the flashy beasts in our faces instead of just playing with us?

I'm such a failure at taking photos of shiny things. I just keep my fingers crossed that the dogs are focused and call it good.

It would appear that in addition to fumbling about with flashy settings, your mom has also been messing with the doodle launch. I see she's set it for maximum vertical a few times.

Kisses,

Happy New Year, girls! Looks like you guys have been busy. Sorry I've been away but it is totally Mom's fault!

Ok, so it snowed overnight here and this morning, Mom put my leash on and opened the front door....I stuck my nose out turned around and jumped on the couch! That is how I feel about snow! I think you two are crazy!
