Lots more frisbee photos this week because Mom is still recuperating from her sickies. At this time last week she was suffering from SUO (sickies of unknown origin), but now we know that she's really suffering from
the bubonic plague, erm, strep throat. She's on all sorts of antibiotics, and while she's still really tired (
hence the numerous frisbee photos, and no 'out on the town' photos), she seems to be finally getting better.
But enough about Mom.
With the official start of Fall, we've had our first snow. The first part of the "storm" (and I use that term lightly) dropped snow just above us.
Then, the next day we got a hint of snow. Barely a hint. Barely enough to even be considered snow...
|
"You call this snow? This is more like Abby tore apart a stuffie." |
|
But, we took advantage of the piddling amount of snow anyway.
|
Does this count as snow zoomies? |
|
Frisbee antics in, uh, heavy dandruff. Heehee. |
|
I got it! I got it! |
And Mom spent a little time trying to find a replacement for Picnik (the online photo tweaker).
|
Seriously, Mom? If you want me to use my hands, throw the second frisbee a little closer. |
Once the snow melted (which took about 30 seconds...), we were able to spend the rest of our week in Regular Fall Frisbee Antics.
|
One of my more graceful catches. |
|
One of my less-than-graceful catches. I blame it on Mom's throwing ability or lack thereof; Mom blames it on the wind. |
|
Another one of Mom's "wind assisted" throws... |
|
Abby duplicating the donkey and the two equidistant mounds of hay who is frozen by indecision. Heehee! |
|
How does she do that straight up in the air thing? Mom must have broken out the Doodle Launcher again! |
|
Me? I prefer the More Traditional Frisbee Catching Pose. |
|
I may (or may not) have caught this one. Apparently one is supposed to keep an eye on the frisbee until it is safely in one's jaws.. |
|
Ah hah! This time I've got my Eyes On The Frisbee! |
|
More Doodle Launching. |
|
No clever captions, I just like this photo. |
|
More of the Levitating Hippobottomus. |
|
I even allowed myself to be flung in the Doodle Launcher! |
|
Like my sister, I, too, have been rehearsing for the great ballet Doodle Lake! |
|
Is it me, or does my sister have an exceptionally long torso? Maybe it's the flying ears that adds to that impression. |
After all the Serious Frisbee Action, we got a little silly.
|
Abby playing "spoons" with the frisbee. Seriously. She's somehow got it hanging off the end of her ginormous snooter. |
|
That's that rules I play by! |
Heehee!
And I got some tug-o-war in with Mom.
|
"This frisbee? You want this frisbee? Are you sure?" |
And Mom got some head shots, because they seem to amuse her.
|
Night Vision Doggie is Watching You at night! |
|
Mom (and I quote) "loves" photos like this. Who am I to argue with her? |
As I mentioned before, Fall is upon us, and Mom was hoping she'd get a photo of us out in the admittedly bland fall colors. We weren't interested in cooperating. Mostly because it was really windy, and we wanted to get a move on. Oh well. Trust us that the fall colors are bland this year...

Have a great week!

OMD! Fi, you have my momma over here giggling! Looks like you girls had a great week....sorry your momma isn't feeling too great. At least she is no longer sick with SUO, right?
Hey, at least you guys have fall colors!! Abby, you do have a long torso - no regular doggie could be such an athlete!
Ruby
Snow already? Oh no !!
Great photos, you both look ver sylph-like and fit !!
OMD, we love the terminology SUO - your Mom cracks us up! It is shocking that you've already seen the white stuff fly. We are looking forward to introducing the kid to the white stuff, but hope it will be several months before that happens!
You went on the Doodle Launcher? Very brave. I'm surprised it still functions properly after hoisting the hippobottomus into the air.
So glad to hear your mom is feeling better. Humans with sickies are so boring.
Kisses,
Dexter
WE are very much glad to hear that your mom is better.
Say it isn't SnOw. PLEASE.. it is WAY too early fur Snow..
When will you be staging DOODLE Lake? Christmas? We want to be SURE to have OUR tickets.
Mum and I have seen snow in the mountains here in Tucson for about the past week when she takes me out early in the morning. Of course, it melts by the afternoon 'cos even tho it is quit chilly when we go out, by noon it is quite warm.
Looking at your Frisbee pics reminds me of a doggie that comes to our big doggie park -- he is a black lab and used to jump really high till his hips started bothering him; then his dad threw the Frisbee lower till he had to have surgery on his hips, so now and his two brudders (a pom and chi chi) just walk around the park w/his dad.
BTW I know what it's like to have a mum w/sickies!!!! right now my mum is recovering from (about the 8th one) surgery on her right hand -- we are both hoping it's the last one and that this one does the trick!!!!!!
Glad your mum is doin g better!!!
luv

Snow!!! Say it ain't so ...no wonder your mom has the sickies! Our fall colors are bland out here, too.
Your pal, Pip
Your action shots are fantastic! Does that snow make you jump higher?

BOL! We love the uncooperative dog photo! Mom has a tip for your mom . . . Adjust the RGB on the photo to enhance those bland colors - BOL! That was what mom did for our official Autumn Photo.
I am blowing up those pics of Abby and her cool moves. I will be studying them more. I practiced with my frisbee last night but Stanley kept getting in my way. I want mom to take us to the park today so I can REALLY chase my UFO. But trying to get her to do anything after a long run is sometimes hopeless. Cross your paws for us that we get to go!
Your Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
Hi, I'm surprised you got even a dusting; here in the flatlands of Colorado we haven't had any yet-thankfully. WE just spent a night in your town and love it. I know there is a lot of snow up in the Rockies. I loved seeing some changing colors in your area too. Love your frisbee catching.

OMG, you got snow flurries already! You lucky, lucky girls!
Has your mom tried Pic Monkey yet? Our mom loves it!
Love ya lots♥
