What have we been up to lately?

Well, we've had to give Mom a severe talking to about her responsibilities as our publicity manager.  Frankly, she's been slacking, and she needed to know that her work "needs improvement."  She has promised that she'll be better, but, well, we'll not going to hold our collective breaths.  But we're going to cut her some slack, as her duties at the Great Kibble Provider are important, too.  Where else would we get our kibble, and treats, and bully sticks, and whatnot?

Anyhoo, beyond berating Mom, we haven't been doing too much.  We didn't have doggie class this weekend because Petco was doing their vaccination thingy, and apparently it was thought classes would add to the chaos, ah, make a busy day more hectic.  So, we spent a lot of time biteying each other, because that really never gets old...

Sisterly love at its finest!

Mom is muttering something about "demon dogs".  We have No Idea what she's talking about.

Good, old-fashioned bitey-face!

"Gotcha this time, Rat-Butt!"

Seriously.  We could do that all day long.  It never gets old!  Of course, we also got in some frisbee time.

The usual stuff.  With one exception.  Our dinner was LATE Saturday night.  Mom and Dad had gone "bye-sickle-ing" and didn't get home until 30 minutes after supper time.  Sure, they are allowed to do some stuff on their own, occasionally, but when these activities delay OUR dinner, it is completely unacceptable.  All I can say is that if Mom and Dad continue with this "bye-sickle-ing" it Better Not interfere with our dinner time.  Just saying...

Today we did have a little more excitement (but our dinner arrived on time, so it's all ok).  Mom was getting ready to go grocery shopping and thought we would enjoy a little pre-shopping frisbee time.  (Um, yeah.)  So she took us outside, and we encountered a moose.  In our yard.  I wanted to go up and say hello (I'm friendly that way) but Abby suggested that a young male moose might not be interested in making friends (Really? The nerve!), and we should hustle ourselves back in.  So back in we went.

And Mr. Moose proceeded to make himself comfortable.

At one point we thought he had moved on to snowier pastures, only to discover that he had gone up on the hillside.  He came back down several minutes later and plopped himself down in one of our few remaining patches of snow (no pictures, as we could only see him through the kitchen window and Mom can't get good photos through the windows).

Mr. Moose clearly planned on settling in, so Mom packed us up in the car, and took us down to a trail near the house.  The hiking trails are still pretty muddy, so we went on a 'multi-use trail' that borders the freeway for a little bit before going into the mountains.  Mom thought it was pretty funny that the nature we all enjoy (which includes Mr. Moose) forced us to walk on a paved path by the freeway.

Whatever, Mom.  Enough with the ironic moments - let's get moving - a walk is a walk!

When we got home, Mr. Moose had moved on, and we got on with our regularly scheduled activities (including dinner served at the regular time).  Have a great week, everyone!

I've been having lots of fun playing bitey face with my new brother Walter. Mom and dad can't believe how long and often we can keep at it. Siblings are the best!

The vigor of your bitey face is astounding. I can also see that you are keeping up with your yoga. Very limber. As for the moose, I am certain that he stopped by for the frisbee toss.

Kisses,
Dexter

Okay, the big question is... do they ever just lay down and relax? LOL - all your shots are action shots.
