Enough of the Cold!!!

I think Mogley is right on. (Again.) Why are we importing all this cold air from Canada when there is all that perfectly good (warm) American air in Hawaii? Not that I'm against free trade, or have anything against our neighbors to the north. I do, however, have a problem with it being REALLY REALLY COLD when I have to go outside in the morning to go pee.

That was THIS MORNING. At 8am. ARRGH!!!

So. Cold. That. I. Didn't. Want. My. Feet. On. The. Ground.

This is the second day in the row that we have had ridiculously cold temperatures. How do people live in Canada?!?

Yesterday Dad had to clear 4 inches of snow off the driveway. Why do I keep hearing the sound of chainsaws? Or maybe he's the cousin of the Unabomber? Um. I guess Dad was cold, too.

Since Abby and I were sort of bouncing off the walls (and the bed, and the couch, and, well, you get the picture), Mom took us to day care today so we could get a little exercise. Mom doesn't want to walk us when it's -16. I can't imagine why not. *sheesh*

So, I'll amuse you with some pictures from yesterday when it was equally cold. We'd go out for about 5 minutes, then our tootsies would get cold and we'd come in. 15 minutes later we'd want to go back out again. Rinse and repeat.

Of course, bitey-face does help keep you warm.

Until your tootsies get cold...

I think Lard Butt must have fat cells in her toes because my feet get colder MUCH faster than hers. Or maybe she's got boot heaters hidden in those mukluks of hers.

Heehee.

Mom says it is supposed to warm up tomorrow. I hope so, because I'm beginning to think we live on the ice planet Hoth.... Even if it looks pretty...

At least we don't have a zillion feet of snow like a bunch of other doggies I know. (Seriously, have you seen the snow at Mango's place? That's just crazy!)

Stay warm! I'm lobbying to be allowed to pee in the living room until it warms up. Uh, I hope it warms up soon.

Yes lets get some warm Hawaii air! Today it was -18F at noon. Brrrrrr. So cold that Tibby didn't want her feet on the ground, so she kept laying down outside. Hmmm? Not sure how that was warmer?
Keep warm!

Our plans to get a petition signed to stop the illegal importation of cold air from Canada has stalled.

Our cousins have an exchange student from Finland this school year. She asked us why we are complaining? She was feeling homesick for home until this cold and snow storm came by. So we will let the cold air stay another day or two to make her feel at home.

It was -16 at our weather station around 6:00 this morning.

Your delicate little flower. Of course your toes get cold. Unlike Miss Thing who must have a super space heater inside that big butt of hers.

It's been way too cold for us outside. You're pretty brave! We would have frozen long before you did! Keep warm, furiends!

Well you two look beautiful playing in that snow, BUT we're kinda glad we're not in it. So is MOM! She's going right now to tell Dad how COLD it is there in PC 'cause, you know, he's always telling her he wishes he was still THERE! It was 75 degrees here yesterday, but it's back to 50 today. Still warm enough to swim!

That is waaaaaaaay too cold ladies! Maybe we can use the power of the paw to think Spring. Although you guys do enjoy winter sports...so let's go with 20-30 degrees at least!

We've fallen behind in non-MM related reading, so we just got a peek at all your Joyous Siblings photos. We think your mom takes wondeful photos of you; much better than our mama takes of us. We don't mind the cold as we don't stay out if we don't want to, but mama just got the gas bill for the heating and is ready to sign the petition to stop the winter importation of Canadian air. Of course, we still want it in the summer :)
