And when we woke up this morning?
The snow was almost up to the top of the railing on the porch!!! When it was all said and done, we had over 3 feet of snow!
Mom got to work shoveling off the porch so that we'd have some place to piddle. (As for the backyard? Um. You couldn't even get out the back door!)
Here's the view out the back door; which is why Mom started work on the front porch!
Dad, meanwhile, got out his toys and started work on the driveway, knowing full well that even though we wouldn't be able to leave today (between the time it took to clear the driveway, and the road conditions, we wouldn't have been able to leave until late, and once we made the 4.5 hour drive, we would have still had to get the House With Wheels out of storage, get it started up, and get it up to the resort, and get it set up to live in again). So Dad worked hard on the driveway.
And when the snowblower was overwhelmed with the snow, Dad pulled out the plow.
Yes, we have a big driveway....
And we have A LOT of snow!
So much snow, in fact, that it was almost impossible to do snow zoomies. Seriously.
THAT'S a lot of snow!
So much snow that Abby, with her stubby little puppy legs could only follow where I had broken trail.
And even then she almost got stuck....
Heehee!
I think Abby was happier on the front porch!
When she wasn't napping with TaiChi, that is.
Did I mention that we got a lot of snow?
So much so that one of our trees got pushed down by the snow. (Don't worry - Dad thinks it can be saved.)
So. Um. Snow.
Mom and Dad are hoping to leave all of this behind and get on the road tomorrow, come rain, snow, sleet or shine. Hopefully my next post will be from shores of the Virgin River!
And I'm really looking forward to this trip, because I'll get to teach Abby all the ins and outs of the House With Wheels. And I'm looking forward to hiking. And sitting on the couch and watching my "teevee" on the world around us. I'll keep you posted!

Hi Fiona,
I'm feeling so cold just by looking at those pics... it looks like an avalanche of snow... and a snow yeti might just pop out somewhere :)... Hope you're able to launch the House with Wheels tomorrow and have a great hiking trip.
Licks, hero
I can believe my eyes!
that is a lot of snow!
We had 96 degrees today!
I hope you can get on the road tomorrow!
Take care
Kisses and hugs

Wow that is a lot of snow! We were moaning about the rain making us wet - but that snow would make us disappear!
Hope you had a Happy Easter - and we hope you can drive out soon!

Wow! We can't believe all of that snow you're getting, Fiona! It's supposed to reach 85 degrees at our house today and we're whining that we didn't get enough spring and you poor doggies haven't even gotten it yet!
Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
Woo - Serious snow. We wish you great luck on getting to the HOW.
My goodness. If the snow keeps coming you are never going to get to go in the house on wheels.

I think Khyra, the Herd, and the OP Pack will be moving in with you soon.
Dang... that is a whole lotta snow! The view from your driveway is beautiful though!
Holy shmoley!! Wow, that's a LOT of snow (mom was thinkin' of the stupid commercial for Staples when she typed that, where the annoying guy keeps saying "WOW that's a really low price"). It's pretty, but too bad it slowed you down! Guess what? Our House with Wheels is coming to Park City at the end of May!! We still are plotting our route, but we were so excited to tell you I just made mom spill the beans now!! Hope all that snow melts by then....
