Thanks for all the Warm Fuzzies for Abby!

Thank you all for the warm fuzzies and crossed paws for my sister Abby!  Mom took her in to the vet on Friday morning, and I will admit to being a bit confused when Mom came home in the morning without her, but she explained to me that Abby was having the surgicals.  I kept Mom occupied so she wouldn't fret about Abby.  Later in the day, Mom got a phone call that the surgicals had all gone well, and she could pick Abby up later.   I was happy to hear that news - I had been missing my big little sister.

When she got home (bundled up in a Thunder Shirt so she can't get at the stitches that are just below her sternum), Abby looked a wee bit drugged.

And a wee bit non-plussed!
We have spend much of the weekend hanging out, going on short walkies, and napping (because apparently Abby can't nap unless everyone is napping, too...)

Really, lady?  Can't you see that I've had surgicals?
Mom also spend some time 'enjoying the nature light' - whatever that means....

Thank you all again for the good wishes!  We'll keep you posted on the biopsy results!

We Have No Idea When We Last Updated

So if you've seen some of these pictures before, blame our distracted other-focused secretary, who is giving us all sorts of excuses, like she's had the sickies, and she's been busy at the Great Kibble Provider and working away at giving other dogs treats while taking pictures of them (in her defense, she has also been taking pictures of homeless doggies and kitties and goats and pigs and whatnot). Regardless of the veracity of Mom's excuses, we haven't updated in rather a while.

So what have we been up to, you ask?

Well, let's see.... A couple of weeks ago Mom and Dad took us to the White Barn on the way in to Park City and Mom took a bunch of pictures of us before we got to go on a decent walkie.

A rare photo of Dad!

If you are wondering why most of the pictures are of Abby, it's because she is a total camera hog; I will happily let Abby take the spotlight, but when it's time for my glamour shots, Abby totally tries to hog my time in the spotlight.   *sigh*

We've also been helping Mom in the studio.  Sort of.  Mom was playing around with something here. Who knows what - we've long since given up trying to understand what Mom does with her camera...

Wow.  A picture of me - mostly because Abby was lying down, noshing on liver treats....

She looks so innocent.  But we all know better, don't we?
This last weekend Mom decided we were getting a little woolly, and that it was time for us to get haircuts.  The haircuts may also have been prompted by Dad's discovery of a lump on Abby's chest.  Mom hustled Abby off to the vet, and was told it was a mast cell growth.  So, Abby will have surgery this Friday to remove the lump.  The haircuts were to check for additional lumps/bumps on both of us, and, apparently, to keep us cool (although our weather has been surprisingly cool and damp - I am dictating this to Mom whilst snuggling under an afghan).

So, there was nekkid frisbee action this weekend (Abby's growth hasn't slowed her down in the frisbee department, although it sounds as though she's going to be drugged for a while after her surgery, so the site of the lumpectomy (Mom says that's a real word - I don't believe her) can heal.  I'll totally let you know how well that works out!).

Mom's frisbee throwing hasn't gotten any better.

Abby is still working on her Frankenstein impersonation.

Or possibly a zombie impersonation....

Seriously; Mom's frisbee throwing needs some work...
Abby practicing for the Rapture.  Heehee!

Ah, yes, frisbee zoomies.  (By this time, I had started eating some of the longer grass on the hillside.)

Doodle Ballet!
We also took some time this weekend to observe Memorial Day and reflect on the brave men and women who gave their lives so we could enjoy the pursuit of life, liberty and frisbees.

Anyway, that's our excitement.  I'll keep you posted on Abby's surgery.

We're Still Alive and Well!

Although you wouldn't know it from the frequency of bloggie updates.... Blame Mom for this; when she's not taking pictures of homeless doggies (which is a good thing and a totally acceptable excuse for not helping us update our bloggie), she's taking pictures of other doggies for money, or trying to build her business. Occasionally she'll update her own photo blog, usually with photos of us, so you could always check that out, too.

Here's Mom photographing a homeless doggie (who, from what Mom says, has already been adopted, so technically she's a formerly homeless doggie):

Pretty amazing snooter art on that window, huh?
So, Mom sort of has a good excuse for not updating our bloggie, but since we are currently sitting on her until she does (and I mean 'sitting on her' literally - Mom is our personal futon), we finally have  chance to get some pictures of US posted!

April has been a crazy month, with very warm weather, and snow.  And being all-weather Doodles, we have enjoyed everything Mother Nature has thrown at us!

Oh yeah!  April snow!!!

And warm weather zoomies!

And someone felt the need to do a little roaching...

There has also been much Doodle ballet.

With the advent of spring, we've also had several visits from our moosie friends.

And would Mom let us go play with any of our moosie friends?  Of course not!  Mom was being a big meanie and told us we could play with our friends because our friends always leave a mess in the yard.  Talk about Mom being a total kill-joy!

Anyway, we are alive and having a great time!  We hope everyone is having a great spring!  (Or fall, for those of our friends south of the equator!)

Happy Birthday to Dad!

We haven't been blogging much lately - mostly because we don't type very well and Mom has been busy with her 'day job' and her photography business.  She's been reading all sorts of stuff about marketing and sales and all sorts of stuff.  Apparently there is more to a photography business than just taking pretty pictures.  Who knew?

Anyhoo, Mom did manage to take some time today to help us celebrate Dad's birthday.  We thought 'celebrating Dad's birthday' would involve the Magic Cheeseburger Window, but apparently it involved silly headwear and liver treats, instead.  At least there were liver treats....

Happy birthday, Dad!  Really.  We mean it!  Just because we aren't smiling doesn't mean we are any less sincere!

And we don't even get cheeseburgers for this.... *sigh*

Yeah, um, happy birthday.  Can we go now?
Really, Dad, happy birthday!

BTW, you may have noticed that we are nekkid.  We have had an unseasonably warm winter (sorry to all our pals on the East coast), and our 'long' winter haircuts were just too hot for us, so Mom took out the clippers yesterday and made us all nekkid-like.

Don't we both look so thrilled?
However, it is much nicer to not have all that extra hair - we are way more into spring zoomies when we are nekkid!

The springs in Abby's leggies work even better when she's nekkid!
Anyway, Happy Birthday, Dad!  Even if we didn't get cheeseburgers...

Happy Birthday to Goose!

We want to wish our buddy Goose a very happy 15th birthday!  Fifteen!!!!  And yet he doesn't look a day over ten!  (Go visit our buddy Goose and give him some birthday love - go on, we'll wait!)    If you don't know Goose, you should spend some time perusing his bloggie; not only is Goose a wise, handsome guy, but he and his Mom have a lot of funballs times together.

However, we have to confess that Goose's birthday is even extra special for us, because yesterday our Mom got to meet Goose in the furs, and take some photos of him.  She has like 87 million photos of Goose, so it will take a while to get them all organized, but here are a few photos from her shoot with Goose and his Mom yesterday, celebrating Goose's birthday.  (He's been celebrating for the last couple of weeks, but can you blame him?)

Goose, a Momma's boy in the best possible way!
Mom, being Mom, brought The Dreaded Party Hats. (I have a feeling Goose wasn't given any advance warning about these party hats.... and seriously, what is it with our Mom and these silly hats?!?)
Of course, Goose is used to his Mom putting silly hats on his head, so the two of them have this routine down.

It's okay, Goose.  We both look silly.  And besides, I have a plan....

Mom, tell me more about this plan....

When Dr. Liz gets here for the group photo, well, you'll see.  But in the meantime, act natural.
Ah-ha!  Goose and his Mom managed something we have never been able to accomplish - they got our Mom to wear one of those dreaded party hats!  Goose, if we didn't already love and admire you, this would have totally sold us on your wonderfulness!

Good job, Goose!!!!
Goose and his Mom have a very special bond, and our Mom was really lucky to capture that special bond and make it tangible.

Have a great birthday, Goose!!!  And thanks for getting her to wear one of those silly hats!!!
